       I Doe hereby promise for me and my heires to Barrett
       Mercury that in Case that he upon the plantacon where he
       now is doe well Manage all such hands as I shall putt
       under him in makeing a Crop of Indian Corne and Tobacco
       with other Necessaries upon the said plantacon and shall Take
       Care to raise a stock of hoggs and cattle upon the said plantacon
       and doe all other things Necessary for the well Improvmen.t
       of the said plantacon and Doe also make for his perticular
       share and part Twenty thousand pounds of good Tobacco besides
       Corne upon the said plantacon within the space of five
       yeares now next Ensueing the Date hereof this yeares
       Cropp that is to say the Crop that is now in the house to be
       accounted as one of the five yeares Crops that then the
       said Barret Mercury shall be a freeman and be Discharged
       from my service wittness my hand this Twenty sixth Day of
       October one thousand seven hundred and three
