729 This Indenture made the second day of October In the Year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred & three & in the second Year of the Reigne of our soveraign Lady Anne by the Grace of God of England &c Queen Between John Gadsby of the County of Ann Arundell in the province of Maryland planter of the one part And Aaron Rawlines of the said County & province planter of the other part Witnesseth that whereas Thomas Browne of the said County by Indenture under his hand & seale bearing date the second day May one thousand seven hundred Did for the Consideration therein mencond Grant Bargain Sell & Convey unto the said John Gadsby his heires & Assigns forever a Certain Tract or parcell of Land called Browns Adventure lying in Baltemore County on the North side of Petapscoe River & on the the North side of the land of Col Thomas Taylor Beginning at a bounded red Oak in the said Thomas Taylor line it being a bounded tree of Richard Owings & running with the said Taylors line South East three hundred & twenty Pches to a bounded white Oake by a Runn called Davis's Run then North east three hundred fifty six pches then North West Six hundred & Eighty pches then South West one hundred fifty six pches then South East three hundred & sixty Pches then by a streight line to the first bounded red Oake Containing & laid out for one thousand Acres of Land as by the said Indenture may more at large appear And whereas the said John Gadsby did by Indenture under his hand & seale sell & Convey unto John Barker of Baltemore County one hundred & thirty Acres of Land part of the afd Tract of Land called Browns Adventure so conveyd to the said John Gadsby as afd the whole containing one thousand acres under certain bounds & limitts in the said Deed containd Now This Indenture Witnesseth that the said John Gadsby for in & in Consideration of the sume of one hundred & five pounds Sterl to him in hand paid by the said Aaron Rawlins the reciept whereof the said John Gadsby doth hereby acknowledge & thereof & of every part & parcell thereof doth fully Exonerate Acquitt & discharge the said Aaron Rawlins his heires & Assigns for ever Hath Given Granted bargaind sold Aliend Enfeofd & confirmd And by these p.rsents he doth Give Grant bargaine Sell alien Enfeoff & Confirm unto the said Aaron Rawlins his heires & Assigns for ever All that the remaining part of the aforesaid Tract of Land called Brownes Adventure containing by Estimacon Eight hundred & seventy Acres the afd one hundred & thirty Acres of Land so conveyed to the s.d John Barker being Excepted out of the whole which containd one thousand Acres as afd To have & to hold the said remaining part of the said Tract of Land Called Brownes Adventure containing Eight hundred & seventy Acres (the said one hundred & thirty acres so conveyd to the said Barker as afd being excepted out of the whole which contained one thousand Acres as afd) with all houses dwelling (houses Outhouses |
