(556) Gerard Slye and of his heires and assignes for Ever Be itt as the Law of England or of this province of by Deed or Deeds acknowledgment of these presents or any other lawfull wayes as by the said Gerard Slye his heires or assignes or his or there Councell Learned in the Law shall be reasonable Devized advized or required paying therefore to the said Charles Calvert or his assignes yearly and Every yeare one yeare of Indian Corne to be paid on the feast day of the nativity of our Blessed Saivour if Lawfully demanded In wittness whereof the partyes afd to these Indentures Interchangeably putt there hands and seales the day yeare first above written Charles Calvert (seal) Signed Sealed and Delivered In the presence off us Tho.s Orrell Jn.o Lomax his Edw.d IH Ford On the back side marke of the foregoeing Deed W.m Hook was thus Endorste I viz.t Isabella orrell his Rehoboth R Barnsetler marke Maryland fs Memorandum This Twenty Fifth Day of November Anno one thousand seaven hundred and one then Came before us Charles Calvert and Jane his wife of Charles County and the said Charles acknowledged the within Deed and the said Jane his wife |
