(371) To all Christian people to whome these psents shall Come Edw.d Clarke Esq.r maj.r of the Cetty of Norwitch w.thin the Kingdom of England Sent Greeting the are to Certefye all whome it Doth or may Concerne that Henry Bennett of the sd Cety baker Came before me the said majo.r of the sd Cetty of norwitch and Did acknowledge the indenture of bargaine and sale hereunto annexed bareing Date the fourth Day of this instant month of Feb.r to be the Act and Deed of him the said Henry Bennett made and Executed by the said Henry unto W.m Holland merch.t in the same Indenture named by w.ch sd Indenture he the said Henry for the sume of Eighty two pounds and three Shillings pd to the said Henry hath Bargained and Sold to ye sd W.m Holland a certaine peice or pcell of Land called S.t James Cont.a by Esteemacon Five hundred acres more or Less w.th the appurtences therein to belonging in the province of maryland as in and by the sd Indenture made and doth fully appeare in witness whereof I the said maj.r have hereunto sett my hand & Comon Seale of may.rty the 4.th Day of feb.r in y.e twelfth y.r of the reigne of king willm the third by the grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland king Defend.r of the fayth &c anno dm 1700 Edw.d Clarke mayo.r |
