(360) Barbadoes June 7.th 1699 S.r Att Thirty days sight of this my second Bill of Exc.a my first & third not paid pray pay or cause to be paid unto Cap.t John Howell the sum of four hundred and Thirty pounds Sterling money of Engld Copias and place it to account of Your Oblidgnig Servant Tho.s Hutson To M.r John Sheppard M.rchant in London Pay the contents w.thin to Thomas Blackwell or order w.ch is the Assignment of John Howell Tho.s Blackwell I Jeremiah Jenkins Notary and Tabellion publick by Royall Authoritty Admitted and sworne Dwelling in London doe hereby Certifie and Attest That at the request of Cap.t John Hyde of London M.rchant I did make Dilligent Enquiry On the Exchange of this Citty and other paces after M.r John Sheppard to whome the Orriginall Bill of Exchange whereof the coppy is here above Written is Directed in order to Obtayne Acceptance and payment of the same But after all Dilligence used could not find out or hear of any M.r John Sheppard or any other person whatsoever who would Take any the Least Cognizance of the said Bill Whereupon I the said Notary at the Request afd have protested as by these presents I doe sollemnly protest as well against Thomas Hutson Drawer of the said Bill as all others whome it may concerne for Exchange and Rechange & for all costs Damages and interrests suffered and to be sufferd for want of acceptance and payment of the said Bill Thus Done and Protested in London this Elleaventh day of June &c.a 1700 And in the Twelvth Year of the Reigne of William The third King of England &c.a Quod attestor Rogatus (seale) Jerem Jenkins Not.s Pub.cus |
