       To all to whom these p.rsents shall come Wee
       Francis Child Knight Lord Maior and the Aldermen
       of the Citty of London send Greeting  Know Yee
       that on the day of the Date hereof in his Maj.tis Court
       holden Before us in the Chamber of the Guildhall
       of the said Citty Personally came and appeared John
       Taillor of London M.rchant of Competent age
       Being a parson well Known and worthy of good Cred.t
       and Did by solemne affirmation w.ch he took before us
       then and there according to the Late Act of Parliam.t
       solemnly declare and affirme to be true that the Acc.o
       by him this affirmant Now produced & hereunto annexed
       Intituled (D.r Joseph Williams of Maryland his acco.t
       Currant &.c) is Just & True in every pticuler & Doth
       Truely agree w.th the Books of Acco.t of him this Affirmant
       and this Affirmant saith that Neither he this
       Affirmant Nor any other pson or psons w.tsoever
       for him or by his ord.r hath or have Directly or Indirectly
       (to the best of this Affirm.ts Knowledge) had
       or Rec.d of or from the said Joseph Williams or
       any other pson or psons w.tsoever all or any part
       of the sum of Two hundred & Fifteen pounds Eleaven
       shillings & Nine pence in the said acco.t Mentioned
       but that the same is still Justly & truely owing
       and unpaid to this affirmant  And we Doe hereby
       further Certify that the said John Taillor did
       now Before us in Court seal & as his Act & Deed
       deliver to the use of George Ashman of the County
       of Baltemore the Letter of Att.ry alsoe hereunto
       annexed bearing Date y.e seventeenth day of Jan.ry
       Instant for the pposes therein Menconed  In faith
       and Testimony whereof we the said Lord Maior &
       Aldermen have Caused y.e seal of the office of Maioralty
       of the said Citty of London to be hereunto put &
       affixed Dated in London y.e four & Twentieth day of
       January Anno Dm 1698  And in y.e Tenth year
       of the Reign of King W.m y.e third of England &c.a
