       His Ex.ncy received yo.r Le.rs of y.e First of Feb.ry 1697/8 & also one from M.r Issaack Millner about y.e
       same time and thereby observing by reason of yo.r own more near and weighty concerns you had Committed
       the Management of our affairs as to purchasing arms ammunition &.ca to the Care of y.e said
       M.r Millner we hereby Express to you how glad we are that you have Imployed so worthy & Intelligible
       a Person therein through whose Care and Dilligence we may reasonable Expect a Sufficient &
       satisfactory answer to our desires and now s.r by Cap.t Barth Whitehorne we Transmitt to your
       First bills of Exchange for two hundred and fifty pounds ster of which s.d bills in our opinions
       are Conceived to be most pper and convenient for their receipt had Cap.t Whitehorne been
       Cleared his bills should have been sent you we have p y.e s.d Cap.t Whitehorne sent you
       one pair of Bullet moulds And doe desire what arms you or M.r Millner send in upon the
       Acco.t of Money Remitted to you by George Plater Esq the Barrells may be of such Board to
       Carry Bullets of that size and not otherwise you having sent us such moulds for Each
       County of this province amongst the last arms therefore it is we desire you that for Every
       Barrell of powder of a 5 pound weight you will send Five pound of Barr Lead & y.e money
       now Remitted you we desire may be disposed to purchase what in the inclosed script is directed
       but especially Intreat you to Buy us twelve Rheame of large Ruled paper according to y.e sample
       inclosed

Hon.rd S.r we desire you will give us notice from time to time of what bills you have or shall
       receive upon this acco.t which if not payd we desire you to have them protested as soon as the
       time is out great inconveniencys some times happening for want thereof also we desire you
       will ord.r M.r Millner to give us a particular acco.t as to M.r Plater whether he Remitted
       money sufficient to comply with the last Order of Councill for purchasing arms of which
       matter we send you a full acco.t of the proceedings therein Lastly we desire that
       the arms ammunition &.ca are sent in you will take care to have them sent one half in
       one ship and the other half in another and such as are bound for Severne as near to
       this place as may be being it will ^save much^ Charge in Fetching them hither we thought good to advise
       you that we have also writt to M.r Issaack Millner to the same Effort and nothing
       further at present offering we Remain

             Worthy S.r Your L.re of the 4.th of Feb 1697/8 his Ex.ncy was pleased to communicate
       to this Board wherein we observe yo.r Readiness to serve this province Therefore
       Request you will dispose of two hundred and Fifty pound sterl by bills now
       remitted to Cap.t Paggen by the hands of Cap.t Barth Whitehorne which we desire
       be layd out and disposed off to purchase such ammunition as herein is desired as
       what powder you send in pray lett it be in small Barrells containing 25 weight
       such being thought most proper and convenient for this Countrey you will receive
       from Cap.t Whitehorne one pair of Bullet moulds which you are desired to
       Return by the next conveniency and acquaint you y.e our Reason of sending y.e
