816) 836 The report of Robert Jones Chirurgion concerning the Distemper that M.r Henry Denton late Clk of his matys hono.ble Councill here Died of is afoloweth I was sent for to M.r Denton who had been sick nine Days before I was sent for to him and he kept his bed three days of the same before I came to him I found him Extream ill of a malignant fever and he had a very low pulse and his urin as in tim of health which I have allways observed to be a true sintum of a malignant fever I can and doe truly say that I did give him the best remedyes that I possiblely could to the Uttermost of my knowledge and skill to remove the malignity of his Distemper but all my care skill and Endeavour did prove Ineffectuall for the violence of his distemper did gain upon him more & more Every Day notwithstanding all my Care and Industry in Looking after him till his Days was Ended by this malignant fever which I solemnly Declare was his Distemper according to the best of my knowledg to which I am ready to make oath according to the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth Wittness my hand Robert Jones 23.o Due July A.o 1698.o Jurt Cor Nob John Hamond Richard Hill Maryland fs This Indenture made the Fifteenth Day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand six hundred ninety and seaven Bettween James Rigby of the County of Ann Arrund.ll of the one part and Abrham Johns of Calvert County and William Cole Jun.r of Ann Arrundell County Gent.n of y.e other part Wittnesseth that y.e said James Rigby for and in Consideracon of the sume of one hundred and Forty pounds sterrl money to him in hand paid before the Ensealing and Delivery hereof by the s.d Abraham and William the receipt whereof he doth accknowledge and Doth Clearly Acquitt Exonerate and Discharge the s.d Abraham Johns and William Cole theire heires Ex.rs and Adm.rs of Every part and parcell thereof by these p.rsents hath given granted aliened bargained and sould Enfeoffed and Confirmed and these p.rsents doe give grant alien bargaine sell Enfeoff and Confirm unto the s.d Abraham Johns and William Cole and to theire heires and Assignes for Ever all and Every part and parcell of Two tracts of Land scituate and Lyeing on Kent Island formerly in the County of Kent but now by an act of assembly in the County of Talbott The one Tract of Land Taken up and Pattaned Thomas Marsh and Called by the name Poplar Neck surveyed and Layd out for three hundred acres more or less the other Tract of Land taken up and Pattened by Thomas Bradnox and Called by the name of Broadoake surveyed and Laid out for five hundred acres more or Less which s.d Two Tracts of Land Joyning Together by severall meanes assignments was made settled and vested upon the s.d James Rigby who upon the thirteenth Day of May in the Yeare of our Lord one thousand six hundred and Eighty obtained by Grant from the R.t hono.ble Charles L.d Barron of Baltemore Absolute Lord and propriatory of this Province that the said Two Tracts of Land Called by the name of Broadoake and Poplar Neck should be surveyed and laid out in one Intire Tract and that the said James Rigby should have the surplus Land of the said two tracts which said Two Tracts of Land by virtue of the said grant was afterwards upon the thirteenth Day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand six hundred Eighty and two by William Parker Deputy Surveyor of Kent County surveyed and Laid out |
