       upon y.e Countiyes Service and ought to be defrayed by y.e publique after w.ch y.e peticoner made his
       address to his Ex.ncy Govern.r Copley and his Maj.ties hono.ble Councill for to be redrest who made
       Inspection of y.e afores.d accounts and thought y.e thing to be reasonable to bee allowed & p.d
       but they had but 70000 pounds of Tobacco p mistake came to theire hands to be disposed of
       they could not give him full satisfaction for y.e acco.t but did in part order your peticoner nine
       thousand pounds of Tobacco to be paid him by y.e sherrf of Ann Arr.ll County but it soe happened
       after there was an Assembly called by his Ex.ncy our present Govern.r to w.ch your peconer
       then applyed himselfe and by them not onely refused to y.e former order but they alsoe deducted
       and tooke from him y.e afores.d 900 thousand pounds of tob.o to y.e great loss and damage of your
       peticoner soe your Peticoner further proceeded to get his just due and after a great trouble &
       Charge more is last wholely left without any remedy or hopes of satisfaction unless relieved
       by this hono.ble house for that many of y.e psons afores.d in your peticoners said account hath
       utterly denyed payment and some dead Insolvant and many liveing have not suffitient to
       pay y.e same and others threatens to plead y.e Act of Limitatcon by which meanes your peticoner
       is wholely left remidless Your peticoner further sheweth unto your hon.rs that in many other
       accounts there hath been greate sums of Tob.o abated in your Peticoners acco.ts & also many
       other things pressed and taken from your peticoner for which he never rel any satisfaction
       all which is here ommitted all which if may have Liberty by this Hono.rble house can justly
       make y.e same appeare and also most of your hon.rs well knowing that I alwayes was
       ready to y.e utmost of my power to serve all psons concerned for y.e Publique Affaires of
       this Province which if not relieved by this hono.rble house am wholely left remediless
       your peticoner in most humble mann.r layes y.e whole matter before your hono.rs and
       hopes your hon.rs will have regard to your peticoners great losses on y.e Publique acco.t
       prayes your hono.rs farther consideracon in y.e premisses soe that y.e burthen thereof may
       not wholely lye on your peticoner and that the afores.d acco.t may again be taken into
       consideracon for your peticoners satisfaction and your Peticoner shall be willing
       to be excluded from further claime to this day and every pray

       and payed or not & carried in y.e negative      And for as much as y.e s.d claime hath
       been depending in this house these five years the house doe not think fitt that any pson
       ought to be admitted to plead y.e Act of Lymitacon against him upon actions by him to
       be brought therefore

                                        Recompence Stanbrough M.r was like to be Ruined for y.e s.d ships transgressing
                                        the Act of Trade which I have for some time beene afraid off by advice rec.d
                                        from M.r Jn.o Wilkinson of Newcastle (to whom s.d ship was consigned) that Stanbrough
                                        advised him that y.e ship was put on shoare on y.e Coast of Scotland to y.e Damage of y.e
                                        greatest part of y.e loading and therefore was Disabled to proceed for England
