796) 816 By this Publick Instrument of Procuration or Letter of Attorney Be it knowne and manifest unto all people that on the fourth day of Septemb Anno 1696 and in the Eighth Year of the Reigne of William the third King of England &c Before me William Scorey Notary Publick admitted and sworne dwelling in London and in the p.rsence of the wittnesses after named psonally appeared M.r Gabriell Morel of London afd Gent and hath made ordained and Constituted and by these p.rsents doth make ordaine and Constitute Jacob Moreland Merchant now in Virginia or Maryland his true and lawfull Att.ry Giving unto him full power and authority for and in the Name and to the Use of him Constituant to Ask Demand sue for Recover and receive of and from Michaell Miller and Richard Marsham residing in Virginia or Maryland aforesaid or either of them their or either of their Heires Ex.rs or Adm.rs all and singular such sum and sums of Money Goods Effects Tobaccoes and things whatsoever which the said Michaell Miller and Richard Marsham or either of them Owe and are Indebted to the s.d Constituant for what cause or Reason soever the same may be nothing Excepted or Reserved w.th all Costs damages and Interests allso touching the pemises account or accounts to settle and receive the ballance and any Matter or thing in Difference to submitt unto and determine by Arbitration or any other Amicable Means and if Needfull to Compound and agree upon recoveries and receipts compositions and Agreements to make and give due and sufficient acquittance and discharge And if Needfull to Appear and the pson of the s.d Constituant to represent in all Courts and before all Lords Govern.rs Judges and Justices and to pursue Implead seize sequester Attach Arrest Imprison and to Condemn and out of Prison againe when Need shall be deliver Cum facultate Substituendi And Generally in and Concerning the pemises and the Dependencyes to doe say transact and accomplish as well in Judgement Court as without whatsoever the s.d Constituant himself might or could doe psonally allthough the matter required more speciall authority than herein is Comprized He hereby promising to hold and ratifye for good and valid whatsoever his said att.ry or his substitutes shall Lawfully doe or cause to be done in the pemises by virtue of these p.rsents In wittness whereof the sd Constituant hath hereunto put his hand and seale the Day and Year first above written in the p.rsence of John Ruck and William Brookehouse wittnesses sealed and delivered in p.rsence of Gabriell Morel (seale) John Ruck W.m Brookhouse In Testimonium Veritatis Tom Robinson Matt Heron Guil Scorey Not.us Pub.cus 1696 Recorded Aprill 4.th 1698 p Chr Gregory Clk |
