                                                         Salem 22.th of Novemb.r 1686

Personally Appeared Before me Barth.ll Godney one of his Maj.ties Councill for his territory & Dominion of New england
       John Marston and Manaseh Marston both of Salem and on their Corporall Oath testified that they knew and were well
       aquainted w.th M.r Nathaniell Vernin of Barbadoes and were some time conversant In his famely about twenty and six
       Years past who Afterwards removed himself to Jamaicoe & there died but his wife and children viz.t Mary Vernin
       and Nathaniel Vernin he moved to New England w.ch is about twenty and two Years since w.th whom they have beene
       well Acquainted ever since & that these two viz.t Mary and Nathaniell Vernin were y.e only reputed children of
       M.r Nathaniell Vernin aforesaid and that y.e said Mary Vernin was maried to M.r Timothy Lindall about thirteen Years
       past and as yet surviveing and hath many chaldren but her brother Nathaniell Vernin as these Deponants are Informed
       is Lately deceased at Virginia without Issue

       Merch.t adminis.r of y.e Estate of Nathaniel Verin formerly of Salem afores.d and late of Patomack in y.e Province of
       Maryland marrin.rs Dec.d and Mary Lindall wife of y.e said Timothy Lindall and sole Heiress of y.e s.d Nathaniel
       Vernin send greeting Know Yee that we y.e said Timothy Lindall and Mary his wife for divers good causes
       and Consideracons us hereunto at this p.rsent especially moveing Have assigned ordained made authorized
       Constituted and Appointed And by these p.rsents doe assigne ordaine make authorize constitute and appoint
       our trusty and well beloved friend M.r George Brendt Merch.t our and each of our true and Lawfull Atto.ry for
       us & in our names and to our uses and behoofes to enter into and upon all and every such houses Lands and tenements
       scituate lyeing and being in Maryland afores.d or in Virginia or places adjacent which did formerly belong to the
       said Nathaniell Vernin and now doe or hereafter shall belong unto us or either of us by any manner of wayes or
