776 (758 This Indenture made the first Day of Novemb.r Anno Dm 1695 in the seaventh yeare of our sovereigne Lord William the third by the Grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland King Defend.r of the Faith &c.a Beetween John Charlett of Priours Cleeve of in the County of Worchester Husband man and the only Brother and heir of Richard Charlett late of the province of Maryland in the County of Calv.t in Puttxant River in Swanson Creeke Merchant bord and Mary y.e wife of the s.d John Charlet Rich.d Kings of London Wyre Frances and Katherine his Wife John Salter of Priours Cleeve afd Husbandman & Mary his Wife And Nathaniel Bryan of London Gentl and Frances his Wife Which said Katherine Mary and Frances were thereof the sisters of the sd Richard Charlett at the time of his death of the one part and Edward Carleton of London Merchant of the other part Wittnesseth that the said John Charlett and Mary his wife Richard Kings and Katherine his wife John Salter and Mary his wife and Nathan.ll Bryan & Frances his wife for and in Consideracon of the sume of five shillings of Lawfull Money of England to him in hand paid at and before the Ensealeing and Delivery of these presents by y.e said Edward Carleton the Receipt whereof they doe hereby acknowledge And for other good Causes and Consideracons them Thereunto ^especially^ moveing have bargained and sold and by these p.rsents Doe and each and every of them Doth Bargain and sell unto the s.d Edward Carleton All those three plantacons Containeing by Estimacon Nine hundred Acres be the same More or Less scituate Lyeing and being in y.e s.d County of Calvert in Puttuxant River in y.e s.d Province of Maryland which late were the propar Estate of the s.d Richard Charlett Decd And all Messuages & Tenements Edifices buildings out houses work houses Woods Letts Trees proffitts Comodityes Wayes passages Emoluments and hereditments Whatsoever standing or being in or upon or any wise belonging to or used in upon or about or enjoyned with all every or any the said premisses together alsoe with all and every the utensills tools inplements and Materialls whatsoever belonging unto or used in upon or about the said p.rmisses or any part thereof to have And To hold the said Messuages plantacons and all & singular other y.e premisses with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said Edward Carleton his Executo.rs Adm.rs and Assignes from y.e Day Next before y.e day of the Date of these p.rsents unto y.e full End and terme of One Whole yeare from thence next ensueing And fully to be Compleat and Ended Yeilding and paying unto y.e said John Charlett and Mary his wife Richard Kings and Katherine his Wife John Salter and Mary his Wife & Nathan.ll Bryan and Frances his Wife their heirs and Assignes the Rent of one peper Corne onely on the feast Day of S.t Michael the Arch Angell next ensueing the Date hereof (if the same shall be lawfully Demanded) To the Intent and purpose that by vertue of these p.rsents And of the statute for Transferring uses into possession the said Edward Carleton May be in the Actuall possession of the hereby Bargained |
