748 (738 runing North and by west sixty foure perches to a bounded Red Oake it being A Bounded Tree of the Land of William Farguson Called Wardropridge and Runing North with the line of the said Land one hundred Eighty Eight p.rches to a bounded red Oake Then South East Fifty p.rches to A bounded pine Then east Ninety Eight perches to a bounded white Oake on the east side of A branch then south two hundred and Eighteen p.rches To a bounded Oake Then with a straight line to the first bounder Cont.a and now Laid out for one hundred and Eighty Acres of Land More or Less which said Land was first Taken up and Pattented in his Owne Name by one Thomas Geffe of the said County Which said Originall Pattent beares Date the first Day of June one thousand six hundred Eighty Five Together with all dwelling houses Messuage buildings barnes stables Gardens Orchards outhouses Proffitts Comodityes Advantages and appurtenances Whatsoever to the same belonging or in any wayes appertaineing To the same and all Pattents deeds Land Writeings or Evidences Touching the same or any part thereof To have and to hold all the said parcell of Land and the p.rmisses aforesaid with the appurtenances unto the said Charles Carroll his heirs and Assignes for Ever To the onely proper use and behoofe of him the said Charles Carroll his heirs and assignes for Ever And the said Redmond Fallon for himselfe his heirs Ex.rs & Adm.rs doth hereby promiss Covenant Grant and agree to and with the said Charles Carroll his heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs and Every of them by these p.rsents That the said Redmond Fallon at the time of the Ensealeing and Delivery hereof is seized in his Demeasne as of fee of and in the above Menconed to bee bargained Premisses with the appurtenances of A good sure and Indefeazable Estate of Inheritance in free simple free and Discharged of all Incumbrances Whatsoever And is the True and perfect Owner of the said hereby Bargained prmisses And hath in him full Power Good Right Lawfull Intrest and Authority To Grant bargaine sell and assigne over the same to y.e said Charles Carroll his heirs and Assignes for Ever in Manner and forme as aforesaid And that the said Redmond Fallon from him his heirs and all other person or persons whatsoever to the said Charles Carroll his heirs the same above Bargained Premisses With the appurtenances shall and will for Ever Warrent and Defend by these Presents In Wittness whereof the Parties abovesaid have hereunto signed sealed and Delivered Interchangably sett their hands & seales the Day & yeare first above Written Redmond Fallon (seale) Signed Sealed & Delivered May the 15.th 1696 his marke in the p.rsence of Then Came before us the within named Redmond Fallon and Henry Wriothesley Acknowledged the Within Deed According to an Act of Assembly Rich Kilburne in that Case Made & Provided as Wittness our hands Stephen Blatchford Hen Jowles Recorded the 6.th of June 1696 John Dorsey p Henry Wriothesley Clk This Indenture Made the seaventh Day of August in the seaventh yeare of the reigne of our sovereigne Lord and Lady William and Mary by the Grace of God of England Scotland France & Ireland King and Queene Defend.rs of the faith &c And in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred Ninty and Beetween William Dare of Ceecill County in the province of Maryland Gent of the One part and John Atkey of the Clifts in Calvert County in the Said province Merchant of the other part Wittnesseth that the said William Dare for and in Consideracon of the full quantity of twenty thousand pounds of good sound merchantable leafe tobaccoe and Caske to Containe the same in hand well and truely paid by the said John Atkey at and before the Ensealeing & Deliver of these presents the receipt Whereof the said William Dare doth hereby Acknowledge and therefore hath hereby given granted bargained sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed & by these p.rsents doth fully freely & absolutely give grant bargaine sell Alien Enfeoffe and Confirme unto the said John Atkey his heirs and assignes for ever all that tract or parcell of Land Called Edmonsons Desire Lyeing in Dorchester County on the south side of Great Choptanke River above a p.rll of Marsh Called Edmonsons Creeke Begining at a Marked Oake standing upon the said Creeke and Runing up the said Creeke and fresh Runn for breadth east six hundred p.rches & from the End of the East Lyne south two hundred and twenty p.rches and from the End of the South line with A Lyne drawn west six hundred p.rches and from the end of the west Lyne by a line Drawne North two hundred and twenty p.rches to the first bounded Oake Conteyning One thousand Acres More or Less together with all Messuages tenements dwelling houses outhouses yards Gardens Orchards & backsides |
