       This Indenture Made to two and twentieth Day of May In the yeare of our Lord one thousand
       six hundred Ninety and six Beetween Johannes Dehenniosia of Talbot County in the province of
       Maryland Gentl.n on the one part and Peter Sayer of the Same County Gent on the other part
       Wittnesseth that the said Johannes Deheniossa for and in Consideracon of the Sume of Fifty Thousand
       pounds of tobacco to him in hand paid by the said Peter Sayer the receipt Whereof is hereby
       Acknowledged Accordingly by the said Johannes hath granted bargained Sold Aliened Enffeoffed
       Released and Confirmed and by these p.rsents doth fully Cleerly and absolutely grant bargaine
       sell alien Enfeoffe release and Confirme unto the said Peter Sayer his heirs and Assignes all y.t
       one full Moyety or halfe part (undevided) of an Island Called Poplers Island lyeing & reputed to bee
       in Kent County Now in the Tennor and possessession of the said Peter Sayer Conteyning by Estimacon
       Nine hundred Acres be the same More or Less And the Moyety of all houses out houses Orchards
       gardens Woods underwoods timber and timber Trees wayes Easements proffits Comodities & appurtenances
       to the said Island & Land belonging or in any wise appertaineing And all the Estate right Title
       Interest proparty Clayme and Demand whatsoever of him the said Johannes Deheniosa of in or to y.e
       Moyety of the Island aforesaid To have and to hould the said Moyety or halfe part of y.e said
       Island and p.rmisses with the appartenances hereby bargained and sold unto the said Peter Sayer
       his heirs and Assignes To the onely proper use and behoofe of the said Peter Sayer his heirs &
       Assignes for Ever To be holden of the Cheife Lord or Lords of the fee or fees of the p.rmisses by the
       Rents and services therefore due and of right Accustomed And the said Johannes Dehenniosa
       for him and his heirs the said Moyety or halfe of the said Island shall and Will Warrent
       and Defend against all p.rsons for Every by these p.rsents And the said Johannes for him & his
       heirs doth Covenant grant and agree to and With the said Peter Sayer his heirs and Assignes
       by these p.rsents that he the said Johannes at the Ensealeing hereof hath in himselfe full
       power and absolute Authority to sell and Convey the said Moyety of the sid Island to y.e said Peter
       Sayer his heirs and Assignes in manner and forme aforesaid and that the said Moyety (undevided)
       of the said Island shall from hence forth remaine Continue and Endure unto y.e said Peter Sayer
       and his heirs free and Cleere from all former guifts grants leases titles Troubles debts
       Charges and Encumbrances Whatsoever (The rents and services from henceforth to become due to the
       Lord of the fee onely Excepted) And Lastly that the said Johannes Deheniossa and all Clayming
       und.r him shall at all times hereafter at the reasonable request and Cost & Charges of the
       said Peter Sayer his heirs or assignes Make and Grant unto him or them such further and
       other assurance or assurances of the said Moyetie as by the said Peter his heirs or Assignes or
       his or their Councill learned in the Law shall be reasonably devised or advised and required
       Which further Assurance shall be & enure to the said Peter Sayer and his heirs for Ever In
       Wittness Whereof the parties afd to these Indentures interchenably putt their hands & seales
       the Day and yeare first above Written
