715) 725 To all to Whome these presents shall come Greeting know Yee that Whereas their Present Ma.ts King William and Queen Mary did by their grant under the Great Seale of England bearing date the Tenth day of March one thousand six hundred Ninety two grant unto Mainhardt Duke of Leinster (now Duke of Schonburg and Leinster) his Ex.rs Adm.rs and Assigns all and every such Wrecks Jetsam Floatsam lagan goods derelict riches Bullion plate gold silver coyn barrs or piggs of silver ingotts of Gold Merchandizes and other goods and Chattles Whatsoever which at any time or times then to fore had been or at any time or times then after should be left cast away wreckt or lost in or upon any of the rocks shelves shoales seas rivers or banks in America between the latitudes of Twelve degrees south and Forty degrees North And which at any time or times within twenty yeares next after the Date of the said Indenture should be taken up gotten or recovered by him the said Mainhardt Duke of Leinster his Ex.rs Adm.rs or Assigns or his or their Agents or Substitutes as by the said Grant may more fully appear Now Know Yee that the said Mainhardt Duke of Schonburg and Leinster and Wee S.r James Houblon knight and Alderman of the City of London Henry Scardevile Dean of Cloyn in the kingdom of Ireland and John Hooke of Grayes Inn in the County of Middlesex Esquire Trustes created by the said Duke for Management of the affaires afd by Indenture under his hand and seale bearing date the Twenty First day of June last past have made appointed constituted and ordeined and by these presents doe make appoint constitute and ordein The Hono.ble Francis Nicholson of the City of London Esq.r our Attorney Deputy and Agent within the Province of Maryland and all the limits and boundaries upon the sea Coasts of the said Province of Maryland for us and in our Fancy and for our Use to seize and take into his possession all Wrecks & premises before menconed in the above recited Grant (and there out to reimburse himselfe all such charges and disbursements as he shall be at in and about the same together w.th such allowance as Wee have given by our Letter to him dated this Twenty Second day of March instant which at any time heretofore or at any time or times hereafter dureing the Continuance of these presents have shall or may be last cast away wreckt or lost in or upon any of the Rocks shelves shoales seas rivers or banks with in or neare all or any of the limitts or boundarys of the said Province of Maryland and the same or any part or parcell thereof so seized and secured for us and to our use and advantage to detaine and keep or sell and dispose thereof as to him shall seem most meet and convenient and thereout reimburse himselfe as aforesaid and in case of any denyall obstruccon or opposition in the Lawfull execucon of all or any of the powers and Authorityes hereby given and granted to sue Implead and Imprison all and every person and persons whatsoever that shall detain possess dispose purloyn or imbeazle any of such Wrecks and premises before perticularly menconed so belonging to us or either of us by vertue of the said Grant or Indenture from their Ma.ts as aforesaid giveing and by these presents granting unto our said Attorney our full power and Lawfull and Absolute Authority in the execucon and performance of all and singular the premises aforesaid and one or More Attorney or Attorneys Deputyes or Agents servant and servants under him for the purpose afd or any of them to make constitute and appoint and at his pleasure to revoke and generally to doe accomplish determine and Execute all and every such further and other Lawfull and reasonable Act and Acts thing and things devise and Devises whatsoever for And to our Use and in our Name and Stead in and about the premises aforesaid or any of them as to our said Attorney shall from time to time seem meet and that as fully and amply in All |
