694 (684 684 will and free consent without Compulsion &c of her husband Rob.t King Recorded 6.o Augusti 1694 Jo.n Watson This Indenture made the first day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand six hundred Ninety and foure Between William Dent of Charles County in the Province of Maryland Gent sonne and heire of Thomas Dent Gent deceased on the one part and Knelm Cheseldyne of Saint Georges in William and Mary Parish in S.t Maries County Gent principall Vestry man chosen (according to Act of Assembly concerning Religion) of William and Mary parish aforesaid and John Cambell Robert Mason John Wattson John Llewellin and Thomas Beale Gentlemen his brethren Vestrymen chosen of the parish as aforesaid on the other parte Witnesseth That whereas Daniell Jenifer late of S.t Maries County aforesaid Gent by his Indenture or deed of bargaine and sale bearing date the five and twentieth day of Octob.r 1672 For the Consideration therein mentioned Did give grant bargaine alien and sell unto Thomas Dent aforesaid and his heires All that tract parcell or divident of Land called Jenifers guift scituate lying and being in the County of S.t Maries aforesaid Begining at a bounded red oake standing near a branch of the Herring Creeke bounding on the west side of the said branch running in length for breadth north and by west one hundred and Fifty perches to a bounded oake standing near the said branch Thence west and by south one hundred perches bounding upon the Land of Allexander Fissell thence south and by East one hundred and fifty perches to a bounded Oake bounding upon the Land then of Owen James then untill it comes to the first bound tree Conteyning by Estimation One hundred acres be it more or less To hold the same to ^him^ the said Thomas thereunto being had more plainely and at large it doth and may appeare And whereas the said William Dent is advised and is sincible that altho in the aforesaid Conveyance to his said Father Thomas Dent nor other use or intent is mentioned but onely to the said Thomas and his heires for ever yet that the aforesaid one hundred acres was made over and conveyed to the said Thomas Dent in Nature of a Trustee and for the use of the minister or ministry of poplar hill Church and so to remaine for ever and so was intended by the said Daniell Jenifer Now this Indenture further Witnesseth that the said William Dent for the good and pious intent aforesaid ad for the sume of Five shillings of Lawfull mony of England to him in hand paid by the Vestry men aforesaid and for divers other good causes and Considerations him thereunto moving hath given granted bargained sold aliened enffeoffed and confirmed And by these presents Doth fully clearly and absolutely give graunt bargaine sell alien enffeoffe and confirm unto the said Kenelm Cheseldyn and the other his brethren Vestry men aforesaid All that the aforesaid tract parcell of devident of Land called Jenefers gift lying in William and Mary parish in S.t Maries County aforesaid Conteyning by estimation one hundred acres be the same more or less butted and bounded as aforesaid And all houses outhouses buildings barnes stables orchard gardens woods underwoods wayes easments profitts comodityes and apprtenances to the same belonging (or |
