662 (652 Together with this Writt in Obadience to which writt the said Sheriffe did returne into our Court of Chancery an Inquisicon taken at the aforesaid run the Two and twentyeth day of Aprill last past and thereby did certifye that the Juro.rs by him impannelled and sworne for the purposes in the said Writt menconed To witt Henry Denton Henry Taylor Daniell Moy James Pooley Thomas Price Sen.r Richard Attwood Richard Benton William Price Thomas Price Jun.r Henry Lewis John Tanner and William Asquith upon their oathes Oathes doe say that they caused Twenty Acres of land to be run out on each side of the said runn Imp.rs and that it is not to the Damage of us our heires or successo.rs (2) That it is to the Damage of M.rs Jane Calvert Widdow and relict of M.r Phillip Calvert being Nine Acres and worth by the year now as it is without any further improvem.t Twenty pounds of Tobacco being taken out of two tracts S.t Peters & S.t Barberyes (3) That is to the damage of the Lord Prop.ry Charles Lord Baltemo.r being about Three Acres of the Manno.r of S.t John and find worth by the yeare without any further improvm.t six pounds of Tobacco (4) that it is to the damage of the Citty of S.t Maryes being One Acre of Towne land and being part of the hundred Acres Staled out into Lotts according to acts of Assembly of building houses thereon doe find it worth by the yeare without any further improvm.t One penny p yeare (5) That it is to the Damage of John Evans being about Three quarters of an Acre and part of the Chappell land and worth by the yeare with the p.rsent improvm.t One penny p yeare (6) That it is to the Damage of the Chappell land being about halfe an Acre without any improvment and worth by the yeare a halfe penny (7) That the rest being five Acres and three quarters being barrons and the bank of the runn and it is to the damage of noe parson as by the said Inquisicon remaineing of Record in our said Court of Chancery may more at large appeare And Whereas alsoe the Said Lionel Copley hath given good Security according to the true intent meaning and directions of the said Act of Assembly the begining of the said building of the Mill to prosecute compleate and finish by the time in the said Act of Assembly limitted & prescribed Now Know yee that wee willing to Encourage and promote soe publick a good in pursueance of the said Act of Assembly have given and granted and by these presents Doe give and grant unto the said Lionel Copley his heires Ex.rs Adm.rs and assignes the Twenty Acres of land in the said Inquisition Menconed to be layd out in and neer the Citty of S.t Marys on a Runn of Watter called S.t Petters or the Mill runn aforesaid to have hold and enjoy the said Twenty Acres of Land with all and Every the proffitts Comoditys woods Und.rwoods and other the appurtenances to the Same belonging and appertaineing and all houses and Edifices thereupon built and erected to him the said Lionell Copley his Ex.rs Administrato.rs and assignes from the day of the date of these p.rsents for and Dureing and to the full end and terme of Foure Score yeares from thence next ensueing and fully to be compleated and ended Together with free egress and regress to the said Watter Mill either by land through any Mans land next adjoyning or Else by Watter together with liberty to fall cutt downe and carry away either by land or Watter any timber fitt for building of the said Mill other then timber fitt to Splitt into Clapbourds for and dureing the Terme aforesaid according to the true intent and Meaning of the said Act of Assembly Yealding and paying yearely dureing the said terme to the said M.rs Jane Calvert for the said Nine Acres of land in the Inquisicon Menconed & named p.rsent possessor thereof her heires Executo.rs Administrato.rs or Assighnes the rent or sume of Twenty pounds of Tobacco at some Convenient place in S.t Marys County To the Right Hon.ble Charles Lord Baltem.r his heires and Assignes being psent possessor of Three Acres of land part of S.t Manno.r the rent or sume of six pounds of Tobacco conveniant in the same County To the Corporacon of the City of S.t Maryes being p.rsent possessor of one Acre of Towne land in the Inquisicon Menconed the yearely rent or sume of one Penny Sterling conveniant in the same Citty To John Evans his heires or assignes being psent Possesso.r of one Acre of land in the said Inquisicon named the yearely rent or some of one penny sterling Conveniant in the said Citty and To M.r Francis Penington his heires or Assignes p.rsent Possessors of about halfe an acre of the Chappell land in the said Inquisicon alsoe Menconed the yearely rent or sume of one halfe penny sterling conveniant in the said Citty of S.t Marys The first payment of which said yearly rent to be made at or upon the fine and Twentyeth day of December which shall be in the yeare of our Lord God One thousand six hundred Ninety and Foure and afterwards yearly and every yeare upon the said Five |
