644 (634 Of the same County Planter all such goods and Chattels plate Jewills Ringgs houshold ^stuff^ or any other any other goods and Chattels whatsoever that Now is or Ever was due or belonging or which of Right ought to beelong to mee of the Estate psonall of the Estate said Mary Truman deceased or which I Ever received of the said southern or Brightwell and past or delivered them or either of them receipt or receipts for and all other goods and Chattells that is or ought to bee due and belonging to mee as well from the said Richard Southern and Richard Brightwell or Either of them or any other parson or parsons whatsoever in the Province of Mary Land giveing and by these presents granting to my said attorney my full and whole power strength and authority in and about the execucon of the p.rmisses by virtue of these p.rsents one attorney or more under him to make and the same againe at his will and pleasure to revoake upon the receipt of the said goods and Chattles or any part thereof acquittences or other discharges for such part to make seale and deliver Rattifying allowing and holding firme all and whatsoever my said attorney shall Lawfully doe or Cause to be done in and about the Execucon of the p.rmisses by virtue of these p.rsents In Wittness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale this seaventeeth day of Aprill Annoq Dom 1688 Griffin P Pond (seale) Sealed and delivered in signum p.rsences of Endorsed on the back as followeth (vizt) William Dent May 30.th 1693 Tho Burford Maryland fs Then Came was the within menconed letter of attorny proved in the Provinciall Court by the Oathes of the Witness thereunto W Taylard Clk This Indenture made the forth day of May in the yeare of o.r Lord God 1693 Betweene John Howe of Calvert County in the Province of Maryland planter sonn and heire of Thomas Howe late of the aforesaid County and Province aforesaid Planter deceased of the one part and Mathew Lewis of the same County and Province aforesaid ^planter^ of the other part Wittnesseth that the said John Howe for and in Consideracon of the sume of seaventeene thousand pounds of Tobacco to him the said John Howe in hand well and truely paid and secured to be paid by the said Mathew Lewis before the Ensealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof the said John Howe doth hereby acknowledge and himselfe to be therewith fully satisfied and paid and thereof and of every Part and parcell doth hereby acquitt exonerate and discharge the said Mathew Lewis his heires Executo.rs and Administ.rs and every of them by these presents hath given granted aliened bargained sold enfeofed Confirmed and by these presents doth give grant alien bargine sell enfeof and Confirme) |
