627) 637 September the 3.d Anno 1692 These are to Certifie Whome these presents may concerne that Margrett the Wife of George Thompson of S.t Maryes County Gent doth hereby relinquish all her right title interest property Claime and demand of in and unto her thirds of five hundred & seventy five Acres of land Called Boughtons forrest lying at the head of Gun powder River in Baltemore County & by the said George Thompson sould unto M.r Joseph Peake y.e twentyeth day of Novemb.r 1691 Coquit & Capt die and anno sup.a Corum Nobis Thomas Tench Robert King Know all Men By thes presents that I John Connant of New England now residend in Maryland Merchant being Now bound out for New England againe Have Made Ordained and in my steed and place put and Constituted and by these presents Doe make Ordain and in my stead and place put and Constitute my very loveing friend Thomas Ebb of S.t Maryes County planter my true and lawfull Attorney and assignee for mee and in my Name and to my use To aske demand levy recover and receive by all lawfull wayes and Meanes whatsoever of and from all and every person and persons whatsoever all such sume of sume of Money goods wares Merchandizes debt dues duties & demands that are or shall be due owing payable or belonging unto mee by bond bill booke writing account or otherwise Alsoe to let set or dispose of any my lands Westbury Manner for terme of yeares not exceeding Two yeares and to Recover possession of any my lands or tenements by Legall Course of law and to defend all actions aswell reall as personall that shall be brought against me in my absence Given and by these presents granted unto my said attorny his substitutes and assignes all my full Power and Lawfull Authority Concerning the premisses all and every person and persons whom these presents or may concerne their and every of their Ex.trs lands tenements goods and Chattles (if Need shall be) to sue arrest attach seize sequester Imprison and Condemne & out of Prison to deliver and appeare before all & all manner of Judges Justices and ministers of the Law and to Compound Comproint conclude agree recover and receive and of the Recoveries and receipts or upon end Composicon or agreement acquittance or any other discharge in my Name to Make Seale and as my deed to deliver and one attorny or more under him to make substitute and revoaked and Generally to doe Execute prosecute and determine all and every other Act and Acts thing and things whatsoever which in or about the premisses shall be needfull necessary of Convenient held and allowing for firme & stable all & whatsoever my said attorney his substitutes or Assignes shall Lawfully doe or Cause to be done in or about the premisses by vertue of these p.rsents In Witnes whereof I the Said John Connant have put my hand and seale the Thirteenth day of March 1689/90 John Conantt Sealed & delivered in the p.rsence of John Evens Tho Grunwin |
