625) 635 The Same Condicon and the same limitacons as the said Andrew Hamilton is hereby impowered to Exercise the same office untill Wee the said S.r Robert Cotton and Thomas Frankland Esq.r or their Majtyes post Master Genar.ll for the time being shall depute some other Parson or Parsons in his or their place and steed And Wee the said S.r Robert Cotten and Thomas Frankland Esq.r doe hereby direct order and impower the said Andrew Hamilton and after his death such person or persons Shall nominate to our Deputy or Deputys as aforesaid and in our names or in the name or names of their Maj.ties post Master Generall for the time being to cause all powers and directions in any part act or acts or parlement conteined concerning the Gener.ll post office or offices of post Master Gen.ll to be duely and faithfully parformed and Executed in all and every their Majtyes Collonys Isles Islands and plantacons in North America aforesaid and to doe or Cause to be done in the said Islands plantacons and Collonyes all other lawfull Matters & things whatsoever for the better carrying on their Maj.tyes Service touching the said office which their Maj.tyes post Master Gener.ll theire Deputys or assignes are enabled and impowered to act and doe by vertue of any act of parliament whatsoever and Wee the said S.r Robert Cotton and Thomas Frankland Esq.r doe hereby strictly Charge and require all officers Deputy Servents and others imployd or to be imployed in or about the affaires of the said Gener.ll letter office or post office in their said Maj.ties said Collonyes plantacons Isles and Islands or in relacon thereunto from time to time to give account of their actings and doeings thereinto the said Andrew Hamilton dureing the time of his Continuance in the said Imploym.t as aforesaid and after his death to such pson or psons as the said Andrew Hamilton shalbe Nominated our Deputy or Deputys as aforesaid and to observe and obey his and their orders and instructions in reference to their respective offices trusts and Imployments provided alwayes that if at the end of the first seven yeares of the said 21 yeares or at any time after the said Thomas Neale his Executors Administrat.rs or assignes shall be minded to discharge the said office Andrew Hamilton from the Execucon of the said office of Deputy Post Master Gener.ll and shall signifye such his or their intencons by some Instrument in writeing under the hand and Seale of the post Master Generall of England for the time being to be p.rsented or deliverd to the said Andrew Hamilton then and from the time of the Delivery of such instrument to the said Andrew Hamilton but not sooner all ^the^ powers and authorityes hereby hereby granded to the said Andrew Hamilton shall cease and determine any thing herein before contained to the Contrary thereof in any wise Notwithstanding In Wittness whereof Wee the Said S.r Thomas Cotton and Thomas Frankland Esq.r have hereto sett our hands and caused the Seale of our Said office in such cases used to be affixed this 4.th day of Aprill in the 4.th yeare of the reigne of o.r Sovreigne Lord and Lady William and Mary by the grace of god of England Scotland France and Ireland King and Queene Defend.rs of the faith &c Annoq.r Domini 1692 Robert Cotton Tho Franckland (sigill) Sealed & delivred in the p.rsence of Cha Jackson Rich.d Swift Endorsed as follow viz.t Province of Massachusetts bay Record in the sec.rys office at Boston March 24.th 1692/3 P Is.a Addington sec.ry Virginia Recorded in the Sec.rys Office at James Citty may 17.th 1693 E Beverly Sec.ry prov New Yorke 14.th Octob 1692 Entred upon Record in the Sec.rys office in liber intiul King his Pat to the Gov.r &c 1690 pag 40 41 42 43 44 45 p M Clarkson Sec.ry |
