598 (588 Hostery or other place whatsoever to make dilligent search into any Trunck Chest Pack Case truss or any other Parcell or Package whatsoever for any goods wares or m.rchandizes prohibited to be Imported or Exported or whereof the Customes or other Duties have not been duly paid and the same to seize to their Maj.ties use and also to put in Execucon all other the Lawfull Powers and authorityes for the better manageing and collecting the sd Duties in all things proceeding as the law directs Hereby praying and Requiring all and Every their Maj.ties officers and Ministers and all others whom itt may concern to be aiding & assisting to him in all things as becometh Given under our hands & seale at the Custome house London this 17.th day of May in the second yeare of the Reign of our soveraign Lord and Lady King William & Queen Mary Anno Domini 1690 Robert Clayton G Booth Richd Semsil Jo Werden Rob.t Southwell Aprill the 11.th 1691 The Within Mentioned M.r George Planter p.rsonnally appeared before the Comitted appointed for the Governm.t of this Province and had administred unto him the oath of Collecto.r for Patuxent River within this Province Int.r 23.d Decemb 1692 p ord.r John Llewellin Clk Com William R William & Mary by the grace of God King and Queen of England Scotland France & Ireland Defend.rs of the Faith &c To all to whom these p.rsents shall come Greeting Know yee that Wee reposing speciall trust and confidence in the ability care and fidelity of our trusty and Well beloved George Plater Esq.r of our speciall Grace Certaine Knowledge and mure Motion Have ordeyned constituted and appointed and by these p.rsents Doe ordeyne constitute and appoint him the said George Plater our Receiver of our Revenues raised or to be Raised for the support of the Governm.t of our Province of Maryland within the Precints of the River of Patuxent with full Power and Authority to Levy Collect and Receive all and all manner of Revenues Duties Imposts and profitts which shall from time to time grow due to us for the suport of the Governm of our sd Province within the sd precints (such Duties & Revenues only excepted as by our order in Councell bearing date the 26.th day of February in the third yeare of our Reign Wee have declared to belong to our Right trusty & well beloved Charles Lord Baltemore as Prop.rietor of our sd Province and for the Care and Paines of him the sd George Plater in and about the execution of the sd office and Imployment Wee have given granted and by these p.rsents doe give & grant unto the sd George Plater the Fee or salary of one hundred pounds sterl p anum out of our sd Revenues Duties & Imposts arising within the precints afsd To have & to hold exercise and enjoy the sd office and Imployment of our receiver of our sd Revenues Duties Imposts & Proffitts within the sd precints together with the sd Fee or salary of one hun hundred pounds p anum for an during our Pleasur and Lastly Wee doe hereby authorize and Require our Govern.r of our sd Province and all other officers and Ministers whom it shall or may concerne to make allowance of the said Fee or salary of one hundred pounds p annum to the sd George Plater according to the true intent and meaning of these p.rsents without any further Warrant |
