568 (558 To the true performance whereof the parties hereunto bind themselves each to other in the penall summe of Twenty thousand pounds of Tobacco in Cask to be made good and paid by the party faileing their Ex.rs and Adm.rs and have hereunto sett their hands and seales the day and yeare first before written The said William Price to have his Leavys and Cask free Memorand It is agreed betweene the said parties John Llewellin (sealed) That the said William Price his wife is to wash his and mend the clothes of the servants of the said Llewellin William WP Price (sealed) dureing the tearm afsd the said Llewelling finding soape marke for the same for which the sd Prices wife is to have the liberty of ground upon the said plantation for planting of some Tobacco or other severall Necessarys also to raise Poultrey upon the same for her owne use Sealed and Delivered in presence of us W Taylard Thomas Griffin John + Edward his marke This Indenture made the second day of May In the yeare of our Lord One thousand six hundred Ninety and One Betweene Charles Calvert of S.t Maries County in the Province of Maryland Esq.r and Henry Denton of the same County Gent on the one part And Charles Egerton of S.t Maries County aforesaid Gent on the other part Witnesseth That whereas the Right hono.ble Charles Lord Baltemore by his Lres patent bearing date the sixteenth day of September Anno Dm 1688 for the Consideracon therein menconed Did grannt unto the said Henry Denton All that tract or parcell of land called seabergham lying in Talbot County upon the North side of the northeast branch of greate Choptanck river begining at an hickory markt with Twelve notches Vizt on each quarter three the lowest notches on two opposite quarters standing on equall heigth with the highest notches on the two other quarters which hickory stands under the banck of the river a litle below the uppermost valley and fresh run over which the Road to Deleware bay passes before it Crosses the river and from that hickory it runs north west over the said road by an hickory and these markt with three notches Three hundred and twenty perches and from the one of that northwest line it runs north East Foure hundred perches to intersect a line drawne drawne north west Three hundred and twenty perches from a small red oake markt as aforesaid standing by a litle branch about halfe a mile above the Foord of DeLaware Road and from the said oake runs downe the River to the said hickory bearing south west on the South East bounded by the River Conteyning and then layd out for Eight hundred acres with the Adjacent swamps vallies and marrishes of the river betwixt the said oake and Hickory be if more or lesse To have and to hold the same unto the said Henry Denton his heires and assignes for ever And whereas the said Charles Lord Baltemore by his Lps patent also bearing date the Eighteenth day of the said month of September 1688 for the Consideracon therein mentioned Did grant unto the said Henry Denton All that tract or parcell of land called Clow dent lying in Talbot County on the south side of Chester river and on a branch of the said river called Hamble [illegible] Begining at a marked oake standing on the north line of a [illegible] formerly layd out for William Bishop called Bishops [illegible] west north west seaventy two perches to |
