548 538 To this Present Indenture have hereunto sett their hands and fixed their seales the Day and year above specified Signed Sealed and Delivered Hen Denton + in the Presence of us Mary Denton + Geo Thompson W.m Gwither On the back side of the aforesaid recited Deed was Sam.ll Watkins Endorsed as followeth This day came the within menconed Henry Denton and acknowledged this within specified Indenture to be his Act & Deed and Mary wife of the said Henry Denton who being privately Examined whether shee did freely & of her owne good will without any Threats fear or Compulcon of her said Husband Consent to the within specified sale of the within menconed Land who did before us underwritten acknowledge that shee did freely Consent thereunto and with all freely for Ever hereafter Relinquish all her Right Title Interest propertie Claime & Demand of her Thirds thereunto In Wittness whereof wee have hereunto sett our hands this Day of December Anno 1688 Vincent Lowe Acknowledged in Open Court and Clement Hill Recor this 25.th Day of Ap.ll 1689 This Indenture Made the seaven & Twentieth Day of February in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand six hundred Eighty & Eight Betweene John Llewellin of S.t Maries County in the Province of Maryland Gen.t and Andry his wife on the one pt and Robert Ellis of London in the Kingdome of England Gen.t on the other pt Wittnesseth That for & in Consideracon of the sum of Threescore Thousand Pounds of Tobacco to them the the said John Llewellin and Audrey his wife in hand paid or secured to be paid at and before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents by the said Robert Ellis the Receipt & secureing whereof the said John Llewellin & Audrey his wife doe hereby acknowledge accordingly and thereof & of every part thereof doe acquite Exonerate and Discharge the said Robert Ellis his Heires Ex.rs & Admi.rs and every of them for ever by these Presents They the said John Llewellin & Audrey his wife have Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed & Confirmed And by these Presents doe for them & their Heires fully freely and Absolutely Grant Bargaine sell alien Enfeoffe and Confirme unto the said Robert Ellis his Heires and Assignes All that Tract or pcell of Land Called Enfeild Cace lying in Calvert County on the west side of the North branch of Patuxent River one Mile from the said Branch Beginning at a Bounded oake |
