536 (526 On the back side of the aforesaid recited Deed was Endorsed as foll November y.e 15.th 1688 Came before us Nicholas Sewall & Clement Hill Esq.rs Two of his Lordspps Justices of the Provinciall Court John Nutthall the Attorney of the within named Elias Nutthall & Eliz.a his wife and by vertue of the power within granted did Acknowledge the within Deed to bee the Act & Deed of the said Elias Nutthall & Elizabeth his wife Taken before us Recor March y.e 12.th 1688 N Sewall Clem.t Hill This Indenture made the One and Twentieth Day of March in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand six Hundred Eighty and Eight Betweene Charles Calvert of S.t Maries County in the Province of Maryland Esquire sonne & Heire of William Calvert Esquire dec.d on the one Part And William Arbuckle of Glascow in Scotland now Resident in Maryland Merchant on the other pt Wittnesseth That the said Charles Calvert for and in Consideracon of the sume of Five and Twenty Thousand Pounds of Tobacco to him in hand paid and before the Ensealing hereof by the said William Arbuckle the Receipt whereof the said Charles Calvert doth hereby acknowledge accordingly and himselfe to be thereof and therewith fully satisfied and thereof and of every part thereof doth clearly Acquitt Exonerate and discharge the said William Arbuckle his Heires Ex.rs & Adm.rs and every of them for Ever by these Presents hath Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents doth fully clearely and absolutely Graunt bargaine sell Alien Enfeoffe and Confirme unto the said William Arbuckle & his Heires All those Two Plantacons Tracts or Pcells of Land formerly graunted by the said William Calvert deceased to Daniell Devine and Hugh Manuing Lying in the Mannor of S.t Gabriells in the said County of S.t Maries Comonly now or heretofore called & knowne by the name of Henry James Neck Conteining Two Hundred acres more or lesse Begining at a Marked Pine which is a Corner tree parting a Plantacon formerly William Breenes called Langfords Neck from the said Henry James Neck and soe Runneth to another Marked Pine which standeth at the head of a little Runn which parteth the said Bargained Land from the Land late of the said William Calvert Deceased which said Two Hundred Acres of Land were devided built and seated on by the said Daniell Devine & Hugh Manuing Butt afterwards by both of them upon Exchange for other Land delivered up to the said William Calvert againe and all Messuages Tenements Houses Outhouses Tobacco houses and all other Ediffices ^&^ buildings to the said Two Hundred Acres of Land belonging or in any wise apperteining and all wayes Easements woods Underwoods proffitts Comodities and Appurtenances to the same belonging And alsoe a bitt or little Neck of Land that lyes betweene Richard Calverts Land and the Land hereby Graunted whereon the said Daniell Devine lived And all wayes Easements woods underwoods proffitts Comodities & Appurtenances to the same belonging which Conteineth about Thirty acres be the same belonging |
