       Examined in Privett did declare that shee doe freely & Voluntaryly
       Give up all her Right and Interest of the within Mentioned
       Land and Premisses unto the Within mentioned Richard Stevens
       his heires and assignes for Ever and the said Thomas
       Pemberton did the Like In testimonÿ thereof wee have

       Know all Men by these psents that I John Purvis Comand.r
       off the shipp Effingham and now Riding att ancker in Rapahanock
       River in Virginia attorney of Elizabeth Carter widdow relict and sole
       Ex.rx of the Last will & testament of Edward Carter of Edminton in
       the Countÿ of Midlesex in the Kingdom of England Dear have Made
       Constituted and appointed and in mÿ stead and place put Cuthbert
       Potter of the Countÿ of Midlesex in Virginia Gent attorney of the said
       Elizabeth Carter giveing and by these p.rsents Granting unto the said
       Cuthbert Potter full power and Lawfull authoritÿ for her the Constituant
       and in her Name in qualitÿ aforesaid and to her use to aske demand
       sue for Levie recover and receive all such sumes of Monÿ and tobacco
       Rents and arrerdges of rents goods M.rchandizes and other things what
       soever Due oweing payable belonging or anÿ wise appertaining unto
       the said Constituant also to bargaine and sell unto anÿ person or
       p.rsons for such sume & sumes of Monÿ in bills of Ex payable in
       London uupon such terms & Conditions as the said attorneÿ shall find
       convenient for the Constituants Most p.rfitt and advantage all and
       Everÿ the Lands plantations and appurtenances Either in Virginia
       or Mariland belonging to the said Edward Carter at the time of his
       Decease together with all and Every the stock houseing building
       Edefices materials utincels implements goods & chattles whatsoever
       belonging unto or used in or upon the said Lands Plantations or premisses
       or any of them and if requiset for and in the Name of the said Constituant
       to Enter into and upon the said Lands plantations and premises or any
       of them or anÿ part or parcell thereof the p.rsent posseser or possessors
       from thence to Expect put out and remove alsoe if Need be to appear
       and the p.rson of the said constituant to represent in anÿ Court or Courts
