       For the purchase of the Fee and Inheritance off all thatt peece or parcell off Land
       or Ground scituated Lyeing and being in a Certaine place Called Mattapanÿ in
       Calvert County aforesaid And Whereas also the said Robert Brooke in and by one
       other Letter off attornÿ bearing date the twentyeth day off Jullÿ in the second year
       off his said Majesties Raigne annoq.r 1686 there by receiteing the said before
       menconed Letter of attornÿ and thatt the said Henrÿ Darnall pursuant to the
       authoritÿ aforesaid by him the said Robert given and by his Letter Explained his
       Meaning to bee to sell and dispose off all his the said Roberts right title and Interest
       in and to the said parcel off Land Called Mattapanÿ to such person or persons as the
       said Henrÿ Darnall should approve off for the best proffitt and advantage should
       bee made off thereoff had Contracted with the said Nicholas Sewell for the sale of
       the said Land to him the said Nicholas his heÿres and assignes for Ever for the Considracon
       off the summe off one hundred Eightÿ pounds off Lawfull Monÿ of England
       to be paid and well and sufficiently secured to bee paid to the said Robert Brooke
       his Lawfull attornÿ Execut.rs administrators or assignes at yearly payements by thirty
       pounds off Like Lawfull Monÿ off England by the yeare untill the said summe off
       one hundred and Eightÿ pounds were fully paid and satisfyed the first payement
       to beginn att or before the tenth day off august one thousand six hundred Eighty &
       six and further thereby Declareing thatt itt was the reall intent and true Meaning
       off him the said Robert Brooke that the monÿ raised by sale off the said Land
       should be by his said attornÿ paid and Laid out for and towards the Mainteÿnance
       schooling and Educacon off his Brothers Ignatius and Michaell Brooke but the
       said former Letter of attornÿ not being soe fully and authentiquely penned or
       proved as the Lawe in these casses did require Therfore hee the said Robert Brooke
       for and in Consideracon off the Love and affection which he beare towards his said
       Brothers and for supplyeing all defects in his former letter off of attornÿ Did by the
       Last menconed Letter off atturnÿ make ordeine authorize Constitute and appoint
       The said Henry Darnall his true and Lawfull attornÿ for him and in his name to
       proceed to the pfecting and accomplishing the Contract by him and in his name to
       him the said Robert and in his name begunn with the said Nicholas Sewall for the
       sale off the said Land called Mattapany and all his the said Robert right title &
       Interest in or to the same or any part or parcell thereof to him the said Nicholas
       Sewall his heyres and assignes for Ever with other powers and authorityes therein
       and thereby given to the said Henrÿ Darnall as in and by the said Last recited Letter
       off attornÿ remaineing off record in the secretaryes office off this Province relacon
       being there unto had may more plainlÿ and att Large appear Further
       it is hereby Declared consented and agreed to by and betweene all the said parties
       To these psent that the said Land menconed in the said Letter off Attornÿ by
       by the Name off Mattapanÿ and agreed to bee sold as afforesaid ^is the^ Divident off Land
       *Wittnesseth Thatt The said Robert Brooke for and in Consideracon off y.e sume
       of one hundred & Eightÿ pounds off good & Lawfull monÿ of England thirtÿ pounds
       there off paid in hand paid at and before the Ensealing hereoff to him the said
       Robert Brooke by him the said Nicholas Sewall the Receipt whereoff he the
       said Robert Brooke Doth hereby acknowledge and thereoff and there from
       Doth fully and absolutely acquitt and discharge the said Nicholas Sewall by these
       presents and one hundred and fiftÿ pounds the Residue thereoff well and
       sufficiently secured to bee paid to the said Robert Brooke his Lawfull attornÿ
       Execut.rs administrators or assignes by thirtÿ pounds a yeare till the said one hundred
       & fiftÿ pounds bee fullÿ paid and satisfyed and for divers other Good Consideracons
       him the said Robert Brooke thereunto espessially Moving hath Given
       granted bargained sold aliened and Confirmed and by these presents doth give

*these words following to proceed the Word Wittnesseth
Called Brookfield devised by the said Thomas Brooke the Father betweene his two sonns
Thomas Brooke and Robert Brooke in manner and Forme as is before in these presents
mentioned Now this Indenture
