Memorandum

       That the 4 day of May in the year of our Lord One thousand six hundred
       Eighty and six came the within named George Thompson and Margaret
       his wife before us Henry Darnall & Clement Hill Esq.rs two of
       his Lordpps Councill & Justices of the Provinciall Court & according
       to the act of assembly in that case made and provided the said
       George Thompson & Margarett who was by the said Justices taken
       apart and solely examined and thereupon the said Margarett
       together with her husband did freely and of her owne accord acknowledge
       the within Deed to be their Deed & the said George and Margaret
       further as aforesaid acknowledged the within Bargained
       premises to be ^the^ Right of the said Giles Blizard as those which the said
       Giles hath of the Guift of the said George & Margarett and those
       they have remises & released from them and their heirs to him the
       said Giles Blizard and his heirs for ever and furthermore they
       the said George and Margarett have granted for them and their
       heirs that they will warrant to the said Giles Blizard & his heirs and
       Assignes the within mentioned bargained premises with the appurtenances
       against him the said George and Margarett and their  
       heirs and all persons whatsoever and for this the said Giles hath
       given to the said George Fourteen thousand pounds of tobbaccoe
       Taken and acknowledged the day
       and year above written before

       To all people to whom these presents shall come I Jone Bishop of
       the Island of Barbadoes widdow send greeting Know yee that
       I the said Jone Bishop for divers good causes and valluable
       Considerations me hereunto mooveing have ordeyned and made
       and in my place and stead deputed put and Constituted my
       trusty and Loveing friend Henry Lynch Merchant my true certeine
       and Lawfull Attorney for me and in my name and to and for
       my proper benefit and behoofe to ask demand Leavy recover and
       require of and from all and every person or persons in Maryland
       or any other part in the Continent of Virginia all such sume or
       sumes of money Tobaccoe wares merchandizes Debts goods & Effects [illegible]
