       Times hereafter shall bee Remaine and Conteinue clearly acquited Exonerated and discharged
       saved and kept harmeless of and from all and all manner of formes bargaines sales guifts grants
       and Dowers dutyes Incumbrances whatsoever had made sufferd comitted or done or to be had
       made suffred comitted or done by the said William Thomas & Susan his wife their heires or Assignes
       or by any other pson or psons whatsoever by his or theire means acts titles and Consents and procurements
       and alsoe that he the said Charles Edgerton his heires and Assignes and Every of them     
       shall and may at all times hereafter and from time to time & for Ever according to the true Intent &
       and meaning of these presents peaceably Lawfully & quietly have hold use occupy and Enjoy
       the said plantation and the pmisses and Every part and parcell thereof without any Manner of
       Lawfull Lett suite trouble Eversion or disturbance of the said Will Thomas & Susan his wife
       or Either of them their or Either of their heires or assignes or of any other pson whatsoever and the
       said William Thomas and Susan his wife for themselves their heires Ex.rs & Adm.rs do further Coven.t
       promise grant and agree to and with the said Charles Edgerton his heires & assignes by these
       presents that they the said William Thomas and Susan his wife their heires and Assignes the said
       Plantation and two hundred acres of Land aforesaid with the appurtinances and Every part and
       parcell thereof unto the said Charles Edgerton his heires and assignes for Ever shall and will warrant
       and for Ever defend by these presents the Rents and s.rvices hereafter to become due and payable
       to the Cheefe Lord or Lords of the premisses for the fee thereof (onely Except and foreprized) And
       the said William Thomas and Susan his wife do for themselves their heires Executors ^adm.rs^ and assigs
       further Covenant and agree to and with the said Charles Edgerton his heires and Assignes by these
       presents that they the said William Thomas and Susan his wife their heires and assignes shall and
       will at any time or times hereafter for and during the space of seavin yeares doe make and Execute
       or cause to be done made and Executed such other and further assureance or assureances
       Conveyance or Conveyances thing or things devise or devises in the Law for the better and more
       suremakeing Conveying settling and Estating of the said plantatione Land and premisses to
       and upon the said Charles Edgerton his heires and assignes for Ever as shall be by the said Charles
       Edgerton his heires or assignes his or their Councill Learned in the Law Reasonably devised
       advised or Required provided that for the doeing thereof they be not compelled to goe & travile
       from their homes further then to the provinciall Court or the County Court of S.t Maryes County
       In testimony whereof the partyes hereunto have Interchangeably sett their hands and seales
       the day and yeare first abovewrittin                                          the mark of

       planter am houlden and firmely Bound unto Charles Edgerton in S.t Maryes County Gent
       in the full and Just quantity of Forty thousand pounds of good sound Merchantable tobacco in
       Casque to be paid to the said Charles Edgerton his heires adm.rs or assignes or Lawfull Attorny
       to the which paiment well and truely to be made and done I Bind my selfe my heires Ex.rs
       and adm.rs in the whole firmely by these presents as wittness my hand and seale this third day
       of December in the year of our Lord One Thousand six hundred Eighty and foure
