291) 300 To all People to whome these presents Writting shall come I Ann Devine Widdowe the Relict and Executrix of Daniell Devine Late of S.t Michaels hundred in S.t Maryes County Planter send Greeting Know Yee that I the said Ann as well for and in Consideration of the Naturall Love and Affection which I Beare and have to my well beloved Children hereafter named as for divers other good causes and Considerations me at this present Especialy moveing Have given and granted and do by these presents give Grant and Confirme to my Daughter Hester A Brindle Cow called young goodlock being marked with A Cropp on both Ears and overkeeld on both Eares and a hole in the Right Eare being the proper marke of the said Daniell Devine and one Black Heyfer of the same marke called Blackwell about three years old and one breeding sowe of the same marke Together with all their Encrease from henceforth falling groweing and Renewing to have and to hold the same to her the said Hester her Exers Adm.s and assignes to her and their own proper uses for Ever Alsoe I do hereby Give grant and Confirme to my Daughter Mary one Red Cowe called Cherey about foure years old and of the same marke and one Black Heyfer of the same marke and about the same age and one Breeding sowe of the same marke Together with all their Encrease from henceforth falling groweing and Ranuing to have and to hold the same to her the said Mary her Exers Administrators and Assigneess to her and their own proper uses for Ever Lykewaise I do hereby five and Grant to my Daughter Martha A pyed yearling Heifer of the same marke Together with all her Encrease from henceforth falling groweing & Renueing To have and to hold the same to her the said Martha her Executors Admrs and assigness to her & their owne propper uses for Ever And I the said Ann Devine all and singular the said several Cattle and premisses aforesaid to the said Hester Mary & Martha their Execs Admrs and Assigness to the uses aforesaid in manner and forme aforesaid against all people do warrant and for Ever defend by these presents Provided alwayes and it is the True Intent and meaning of me the said Ann Devine with premisses that if it should please god that any of my said Daughters should happen to dye before they should come to the age of one and Twenty year or be Married that then she part hereby given of such Daughter soe dyeing and their Encrease to be and Remaine to the survivor of them their Executors Administrators & assigness for Ever In testimony whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the seaventeenth day of June in the year of our Lord One Thousand six hundred Eighty & foure The marke of Ann X Devine (seal) Sealed and delivred Ro Carvile in the p.rsence of us Edward Hassard James Bodkin Recorded the 17.th day of June 1684 P Tho Grunwin Clk To all Christian People to whome these presents shall come I James Bowling of S.t Maryes County in the Province of Maryland Gent send Greeting in our Lord god Everlasting Know Yee that I the sd James Bowling for and in Consideration of the Real Love goodwill and great Affection that I beare unto my dear and Loveing wife Mary Bowling Do by these presents freely and Absolutely give grant alienat Transferr sett over and deliver unto the Hono.ble Coll Henry Darnall Trustee for my said wife Foure slaves to witt Ann a Malatta Sara a Negroe and Elizabeth a Negroe all femalls Together with a male Negroe named George all Children To a Negroe woman called Mary to have and to hold the said foure slaves ^together^ with their Encrease unto the said Henry Darnall his Executors Administrators and assignes for the use of my said wife as her owne propper Estate with warranty of the said foure slaves unto the said Henry Darnall his Exers & Admin.rs for the use aforesaid against my self my heires Exers and Admin.rs and against all other persons whatsoever that shall or may Lawfully Claime the said slaves or any of their Encrease hereafter In testimony whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Affixed my seale the fifth day of September in the Nineth year of the Dominion of the Rtt Hono.ble Charles &c Annoq Domj 1689 James Bowling (seal) Sealed signed and delivred Clement Hill In the presence of Jos Pels |
