           This Indenture made the seaven & twentieth day of March In the Eighth Year of the
       Dominion of the right Hono.ble Charles Absolute Lord & Prop.ry of the Provinces of Maryland
       & Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c Annoq Domj 1683 Between William Guither of S.t
       Maries County in the Province of Maryland Planter on the One part And John Llewellin
       of the Citty of S.t Maries in the province aforesaid Gent on the other part   Wittnesseth that for
       & in Consideration of the sume of twenty two thousand pounds of good sound Merchantable
       tobacco in Casque to the said William Guither In hand paid att & before the ensealing hereof by
       the said John Llewellin The receipt whereof he the said William Guither doth fully clearly
       & absolutely Grant bargaine sell alien Enfeoff release & Confirme unto the said John Llewellin
       & his heires All that Messuage or Tenement plantation & tract or parcell of land lying on the
       West side of Chespiake Bay In S.t Maries County aforesaid Beginning & butting & bounding
       (according to survey thereof lately made) as hereafter is perticularly mentioned (That is to say)
       Beginning att a Locust post standing on the west side of Chespeake Bay by the Bay side from
       thence running severall courses bounding by a Marsh & Creeke called S.t Hellens Creeke
       Includeing & takeing in all the severall points of land as the same runeth to a bounded
       Pokokery at the head of a small branch of the said Creeke & from the said Pokekery running
       Into the woods North North West One hundred ninety eight perches to a bounded white
       Oake standing in a swamp thence East North East one hundred & sixty perches to a bounded
       Gumme standing by the Bay side thence binding with the said Bay to the first mentioned
       Locust post Conteyning & laid Out for two hundred Acres more or lesse Together with
       all the marsh on the bay and Creeke side Which said Plantation & parcel of land hereby
       granted or Intended to be granted lately was in the terme or Occupation of the said William
       Guither And is part & parcell of a tract of Land formerly held by William Hawly deceased
       by patent bearing date the twelveth day of September 1653 and by him the said William
       Hawly by his last will & testament Devised to the said William Guither and to his heires
       & Assignes for ever The whole tract then conteyning five thousand seven hundred Acres
       Together also with all houses Outhouses ediffices buildings gardens orchards woods underwoods
       timber & trees & all other proffitts comodities & Appurtenances to the said two hundred acres
       of Land of right belonging or in any ^waies^ apperteyning To have and to hold the said Messuage
       or tenement tract & parcell of land hereby granted or Intended to be granted unto the said John
       Llewellin his heires & Assignes To the Only propper Use & behoofe of the said John Llewellin
       His heires & Assignes for ever Yeilding paying therefore to him the said William Guither his heirs
       and Assignes yearly and every year att the feast of the Nativity of Our Lord the full & just quantity of four
       Bushells of sheld Indian Corne (if lawfully demanded And the said William Guither for him his heires
       Executors & Administrators & for every of them doth Covenant grant & Agree to & with the said John
       Llewellin his heires & Assignes by these presents That the said tract of Land hereby granted with the
       Appurtenances now is & from henceforth shall be remaine Continue & endure unto the said John
       Llewellin his heires & Assignes for ever free & cleer of and from all & all maner of former
       & other bargaines sales gifts graunts Leases Joyntures Dowers & of & from the Dower & title
       of Dower of Barbara Christina wife of the said William and of & from all other titles
       Charges & Encumbrances whatsoever And that he the said William Guither & Barbara Christina
       his wife & their heires & all others any estate haveing or lawfully claiming in or to the p.rmises
       shall & will att any time hereafter upon reasonable request make & grant unto the said John
