       First yeare of the Dominion of Charles &c and in the yeare of Our Lord God
       One Thousand Six hundred Seaventy and Six att Mannowhowicks Neck in Wiccocomico
       River in the County of S.t Maryes in the said Province of Maryland did borrow of
       him the said Thomas Notley the said sume of Twenty Six Thousand Four hundred
       sixty and Four pounds of Tobacco to be paid to the said Thomas Notley when thereunto
       Required Notwithstanding Which the said Thomas Hussey the said Twenty six
       Thousand Four hundred Sixty and Four pounds of Tobacco to him the Said THomas
       Notley though often thereunto Required hath not payed but the same to pay
       hath Devised and as yett doth deny to the Damage of the said Thomas Notley
       Thirty Thousand pounds of Tobacco and thereupon he produceth his Suite

       Memorandum that this Fourteenth day of May in the second yeare of y.e Dominion
       of Charles &c and in the yeare of Our Lord God One Thousand Six hundred Seaventy
       and Seaven before me Philip Calvert Esq.r Chancelo.r of the Province of Maryland
       and one of the Justices of the Provinciall Court att my house att Popes Freehold in
       the Citty of S.t Maryes personally appeared Thomas Hussey above named in his
       proper person and did Consent that Judgement should passe Against him for
       the Said Sume of Twenty Six Thousand Four hundred Sixty and Four pounds
       of Tobacco att the Suite of the Said Thomas Notley in manner and Forme
       as the Sayd Thomas Notley above Against him hath Deceased

Decemb.r 2.d 1676
       Francis Shippey of S.t Maryes County desired the marke of his Cattle might be Recorded
       which is as followeth cropt & slitt in the right Eare underleeld & a nut in the left Eare

Eodem die  
        Samuell Abbott of S.t Maryes County desired the marke of his Cattle might be Recorded which
       is as followes  A hole & two slitts in each eare & cropt in each eare

March 29.th 1677
       Robert Carvile of S.t Maryes County desired the marke of hte Cattle might be Recorded which is as
       followes a cropp & a slitt in the right eare & two slitts in the left eare

Eodem die
       Guilbert Turbervile of S.t Maryes County desired the marke of his Cattle might be Recorded which
       is as followes cropt & slitt in the right eare underleeld & overleeld in the left yeare

May 29.th 17677
       Robert Ridgely of S.t Maryes County desired the marke of his Cattle & hoggs might be Recorded which
       is as followes Viz.t in both eares underleeld & overleeld in both eares


       The Deposition of George Chartsworth Aged about Sixty two yeares Sworne Saith That John
       Dory Came to this Deponent to John Bakers about the twentyeth day of November 1674 & told
       this Deponent that he had A note for Five Thousand Three hundred pounds of tobacco from M.r Marke
       Cordea and Asked this Deponent if he would Accept of itt or not & this Deponent told him he
       would provided he would take itt in such Comodityes as this Deponent had and the Said Dury
       answered this Deponent noe he must have ready Tobacco  And this Deponent answered him again
       that he had Six hogsheads of tobacco Struck Weighed Two Thousand Eight hundred Seaventy five pounds
       of tobacco and after that he Received in other Comodityes as much as made itt amount to the sume
       of Nine Thousand Eight hundred Seaventy three pounds of tobacco out of which sume yo.r Deponent
       was to pay the aforesaid note for five thousand three hundred pounds of tobacco first before other
       debts whereof this Deponent did not owe him about five hundred pounds of tobacco upon last years
       Acco.t and now this p.rsent Court he proffered this deponent Tobacco & said he was in this Deponents
       debt & he would pay him & yo.r Deponent answered him againe he owes him none but thought
       he was in his Debt & he would pay him as soone as he Could & this Deponent saith that he was
       appointed by M.r Quigly to Come three severall times to Come and take in his bills and
       this Deponent Came if M.r Quigly was att home M.r Derry was absent and if M.r
       Derry were att home then M.r Quigly was not att home and soe from time yo.r Deponent
