203) 212 St Clares Creeke in St Jeromes in the said County Bounded Upon the Creeke side North by a Marked Oake and south by a Marked Pockhickory being a part of the Land Whereas the said William Lucas then Lived & by him Laid out and bounded in his life time But before a Conveyance of the said Land was Executed hee the said William Lucas Dyed haveing first made the Last Will and Testament in Writeing & the said Frances sole Executrix and by the same Will hee did Amongst other things Impower his said Executrix to Confirme the sale of the said peice of Land w.ch hee had sold to the said Henry Rider hee paying the Tobacco for the same As by the said Will bearing date the thirtyeth day of November Anno Domini 1675 may appeare In pursuance of w.ch said will the said Frances in Consideracon of the sume of seaven thousand Pounds of Tob.o being the sume agreed betweene the said William Lucas and the said Henry Rider to be ` paid for the purchase of the said Land To her well & truly paid by the said Henry Rider Did by her Indenture bearing date the Fifth day of November Annoq Domini 1677 Cleerely and Absolutely give bargaine and sell & Confirme to the said Henry Rider and his heires for Ever the said parcell of Land w.th the Appurtenances thereunto belonging and the said Henry Rider Did Upon the same Day by his writeing under his hand and seale Endorsed on the same Indenture sell assigne and sett Over for the Consideracon of the like sume of seaven thousand pounds of Tobacco To him paid by the said Robert Carvile The same Indenture to him the said Robert Carvile his heires and Assignes for Ever But before the said Indenture and Assignm.ts aforesaid Were Acknowledged to be Recorded according to Lawe hee the said Henry Rider Departed this Province Now This Indenture doth further Witnesse That the said William Holmes and Frances his wife for the better and More sure settleing and estateing the said parcell of Land unto the said Robert Carvile his heires and Assignes for Ever according to the said Assignment from the said Rider and the Deed made to the said Rider from the said Frances party herein made pursuant to the Will of the said William Lucas and for and in Consideracon of the sume of One hundred pounds of Tobacco to them in hand paid Have Given granted bargained sold Released and Confirmed and by these presents Doe give grant bargaine sell Release and Confirme unto the said Robert Carvile his heires & Assignes for Ever All that the said Parcell of Land Lyeing and being Upon St Clares Creeke in St Jeromes Bounding on the Creekes side North by an marked Oake & south by a marked Pohiccory being part of the said William Lucas Land whereon hee lately Lived and by him Laid out and bounded in his life time w.th all Rights pffitts and appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging To have & to hold y.e said parcell of Land before by these p.rsents menconed to be bargained and sold to him the said Robert Carvile his heires and Assignes for Ever Free and Cleere and Absolutely Acquitted Exonerated of all manner of former & other bargaines sales Guifts grants Judgments Titles troubles & Incumbrances whatsoever The said Deed to the said Henry Rider onely Excepted and the said William Holmes and Frances (his |
