187) 196 October 15 1680 Anthony Evans of S.t Marys County desired the marks of his hoggs and Cattle might be Recorded if being formerly John Halfheads mark which is as followeth viz.t The left Eare swallow forked December 20.th 1680 John Woodes of S.t Marys County desired the marke of his hoggs and Cattle might be Recorded which is as follow viz.t The Right Eare swallow Forked and over keeld and under Keeld on the left Eare Maryland This Indenture made the Twenty sixth day of November in the Fifth yeare of the Dominion of the Right Honoble Charles Lord Baron of Baltemore &c over Maryland Annoq Dm one thousand six hundred and Eighty Between William Gwyther of the County of S.t Marys in the Province of Maryland Gent and Owen Guither of the aforesaid County and Province and Elizabeth his wife of the one part And Thomas Spinke of the County aforesaid Planter of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Gwyther and Owen Gwyther and Elizabeth his wife for and in Consideracon of the full sume or Quantity of Nine thousand pounds of good sound merchantable Tobacco in Caske to them the said William Gwyther and Owen Gwither and Elizabeth his wife in hand paid by the said Thomas Spinke before the ensealing hereof the Receipt whereof the said William Gwyther and Owen Gwyther and Elizabeth his wife doe hereby acknowledge and thereof doe joyntly and severally exonerate and discharge the said Thomas Spinke his heires Executo.rs and Administrato.rs and every of them for ever by these p.rsents And for other good causes and Consideracons them moveing have granted aliened bargained sold enfeoffed and confirmed and by these p.rsents for them and their heires doe joyntly and severally grant aliene bargaine sell enfeoffe and confirme unto the said Thomas Spinke his heires & Assignes for ever All that parcell of land called Owen Glindore being on the Easterne shore in a River there called Pocamoke on the Western side of the said River bounding upon a parcell of land formerly surveyed for Genkin Price and begining att a marked oake standing south south west and runing up the said River by a line drawne North north East to a marked Pine for breadth One hundred and Fifty perches and thence runing into the woods by a line drawne west north west for length Three hundred and Twenty perches to a marked oake and by a line drawne south south west to a marked Pine One hundred and Fifty perches for breadth thence runing downe to the water upon Jenkin Prices line runing East South East Three hundred and Twenty perches containing Three hundred Acres more or less which said Tract of land was granted by his Lordsps Letters Pattent under the greate seale of this Province bearing date the Three and twentyeth day of September Anno Dom 1665 unto the above said Owen Gwyther together with all houses woods rights priviledges benefitts and appurtences thereunto belonging And all Pattents writings minum.ts touching or concerning the same To have and to hold the said Tract of land and p.rmisses with the appurtenances unto him the said Thomas Spinke his heires and Assignes for ever free & cleer of all incumbrances whatsoever (the rents and services hereafter to become due to the Lord of the Fee of the p.rmisses only excepted) And the said William Gwyther and Owen Gwyther and Elizabeth his wife for them and (their |
