157 (148) On the back side of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz Memorandum That this Conveyance was signed sealed and delivered by the within menconed Margarett Hall before George Talbott Esq .r one of his Lordshipps Judges of the prov.all court on the Eleaventh day of March 1679 George Talbot This Indenture made the twelfth day of March in the fifth yeare of y.e Dominion of Charles absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c Betweene Philip Calvert of the Citty of St Maryes Esq.r on the one part and Margarett Hall of the Crosse Mannour in the County of St Maryes spinster on the other part Witnesseth that the said Philip Calvert for and in consideration of the sume of Twenty thousand pounds of Tobacco to him in hand payd Whereof hee doth hereby acquitt and Discharge her the said Margarett Hall her heires Executors and adm.rs hath given granted bargained sould Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these p.rsents Doth give Grant bargaine sell alien Enfeoffe and Confirme to her the said Margarett Hall all those two Dividends of Land part or parcell of the Crosse and Elizabeth Mannour Scituate Lyeing and being in St Maryes County aforesaid and by the last will and Testament in Writeing of Walter Hall late of the said Crosse Manno.r gentl Deceased in her the said Margaret widdowe and Ex.ix of him the said Walter Legally vested Lyeing eastward of a swampe in the said Manno.rs comonly called the Medowe swampe and begining at the mouth of the sid Medow swampe & Runing up the side of the said swampe to the Divideing trees marked betweene the lands or Marke Cordea and the said Walter Hall containing by estimacon Twelve hundred acres of Land bee it more or lesse Together with all woods Underwoods & Timber trees and all other proffitts and benifitts Out of the said Land arriseing or accrueing or hereafter to arrise or accrue To have & to Hold to her the said Margaret her heirs Executors and assignes for ever In Witnesse whereof the parties to these p.rsent Indentures have Interchangeably sett theire hands and seales the Day and yeare first above written and in the yeare of Our Lord One thousand six hundred Seaventy nine Philip Calvert (sealed On the back side of the aforegoing Deed was thus written viz Memorandum that this Conveyance was signed sealed and Delivered by the within mentioned Philip Calvert Esq.r in the presence of George Talbott Esq.r One of his Lo.pps Judges of the Provinciall Court On this Twelfth day of March One thousand six hundred seaventy nine Geo Talbott Att a County Court of the Right Hono.ble Charles &c held att the Ridge in Ann Arrundell County on the eleaventh day of November 1679 by his Lordspps Justices thereunto Authorized Major John Welsh Cap.t Richard Hill Present Comiss.rs Nathan.ll Heathcote Henry Ridgely Gentl Cap.t Thomas Francis Edward Burges James Rigby of seavern River plant.r came here and exhibited a Certaine matter of Comp.lt (ag.t |
