141) 150 all other Charges titles troubles and incumbrances whatsoever had made Comitted or wittingly or willingly suffered to be done by the said John Edmondson or by any other person or persons whatsoever lawfully Claimeing by from or under him or by his meanes privity or pcurement the rents and services from henceforth to grow due and payable to the Lord Proprietary Excepted and foreprized And the said John Edmondson for himselfe his heyres Executo.rs and adm.rs all & singular the before bargained premisses with the appurtennances and every part and parcel thereof unto the said John Barnes his heyres Executo.rs adm.rs & assignes To the use and behoofe aforesaid shall and will warrant and for ever defend by these p.rsents in Wittness whereof the party above menconed have hereunto sett his hand and seale the day and yeare above written John Edmondson sealed Signed sealed and delivered in the p.rsence of us W.m Cocks & Dan.ll Carnell underneath the aforegoing deed of Conveyance written (Vizt) October 11.th 1679 The above written Deed Indented was acknowledged to be the Act and Deed of him the said John Edmondson the attorney of Henry Stevenson to the uses therein menconed before us Vincent Lowe William Stevens Maryland ss This Indenture made the sixteenth day of October in the Yeare of our Lord god One thousand six hundred seaventy nine Between John Ward of Saint Maryes County in the Province aforesaid on the One part & Timothy Tracy of the same County and province on the other part wch Indenture Witnesseth that the said John Ward for & in Consideracon of the full summe and Just quantity of Two thousand foure hundred pounds of good sound Marchantable Tobacco and Caske by the said Timothy to him the said John well & truly contented satisfied and paid before the ensealing and delivery of these p.rsents Doth hereby Covenant promise grant and agree to and w.th him the said Timothy Tracy to serve him the said Timothy his heires or assignes from the day of the date hereof untill the full end and terme of Two Yeares in such service or imploym.t as hee the said Timothy his heires or assignes shall imploy him in dureing the said terme In further Consideracon whereof the said Timothy doth Covenant promisse grant and agree to and w.th the said John Ward to finde and allow him good and sufficient meate drinke washing & Lodging dureing the said terme In Witnesse whereof the said parties have hereunto sett theire hands and seales the day and yeare first above Written Sealed signed and delivered John Ward sealed in the presence of Tim.o Tract sealed W.m Cocks & Daniel Carnell To the Hono.ble The Justices of the Provinciall Court The Humble peticon of Thomas Tillett Sheweth That Your peticon.r came into the province w.th Cap.t Richard Angell whence hee was to serve by Indenture foure yeares from his arrivall in the province as appeares by the Indenture hereunto annexed wch time of servitude was exposed on the six and twentyeth day of February last Yet Notwithstanding his Master John Baker refuses to give him a discharge Yo.r Peticoner therefore doth humbly request an Order of this Court for his freedome and also for his freedome Corne and Clothes according to Act of Assembly (And as in duty Bound hee shall pray) |
