AN ACT concerning
Somerset County — Fire Companies
FOR the purpose of making additional appropriations to
the organized volunteer fire companies of Somerset
County, and authorizing the County Commissioners to
sake an additional levy.
BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

Article 20 — Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1963 Edition and 1967 Supplement, as amended)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 19(a-1) of the Public Local Lavs
of Somerset County being Article 20 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1963 Edition and 1967 Supplement,
as amended) be and it is hereby repealed and re—enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
Article 20
19.
(a—1) In addition to the provisions of Subsection
(a) of this section, the County Commissioners may
appropriate and levy annually an additional sum not to
exceed [seven thousand dollars ($7,000).] $51,500 for the
use of the organized volunteer fire companies of Somerset
County. If this sum is appropriated and levied, it shall
be divided into five parts and paid annually to the
treasurers of the following companies in these amounts:
Crisfield Volunteer Fire Company, [two thousand dollars
($2,000.] $15,000; Princess Anne Volunteer Fire Company,
[two thousand dollars ($2,000.)] $15,000; Marion
Volunteer Fire Company, [fifteen hundred dollars
($1,500.)] $9,000; Deal's Island - Chance Volunteer Fire
Company, [one thousand dollars ($1,000.)] $7,500; and
