AN ACT concerning

Courts and Judicial Proceedings — Technical Corrections

FOR the purpose of correcting certain technical errors in
the lavs relating to courts and judicial
proceedings.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings
Sections 5-305, 7-302(c) and 9-202 (c)(5)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1974 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 5-305, 7-302(c) and 9-202(c)(5)
of Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume and 1974
Supplement) be and they are hereby repealed and
re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings

5-305.

A covenant, promise, agreement or understanding in,
or in connection with or collateral to, a contract or
agreement relating to the construction, alteration,
repair, or maintenance of a building, structure,
appurtenance or appliance, including moving, demolition
and excavating connected with it, purporting to indemnify
the promisee against liability for damages arising out of
bodily injury to any person or damage to property caused
by or resulting from the sole negligence of the promisee
or indemnitee, his agents [of] OR employees, is against
public policy and is void and unenforceable. This
section does not affect the validity of any insurance
contract, workmen's compensation, or any other agreement
issued by an insurer.

7-302.

(c) Every political subdivision or municipality
which has enacted or which shall enact an ordinance, law,
or regulation controlling the parking of motor vehicles,
or providing for the impounding of motor [vehicle]
VEHICLES, shall provide that fines, penalties or
forfeitures for the violation of said ordinances, lavs,
or regulations shall be paid directly to the political
subdivision or municipality, and not to the District
