SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 10-301 of Article - Agriculture,
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume and 1974
Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and re—enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

Article — Agriculture

10-301.

(a)    The Maryland State Fair Board is composed of
nine members. The members shall be representative of all
phases of the agricultural interests of the state, and
shall be appointed by the Governor, with the advice of
the Secretary.

(b)    The members shall serve without [compensation)
SALARY BUT SHALL BE REIMBURSED FOR REASONABLE EXPENSES
INCURRED IN ATTENDING MEETINGS AND OTHER BUSINESS OF THE
BOARD AS PROVIDED IN THE BUDGET IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
GUIDELINES SET FORTH BY THE STATE'S STANDARD TRAVEL
REGULATIONS.

(c)    The term of office of each member is three
years, but any member appointed to fill a vacancy in an
unexpired term serves for the remainder of the term.
Each member shall serve after expiration of his term
until his successor is appointed and qualifies.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.
