SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 8-716(c) of Article - Natural
Resources, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume
and 1974 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article — Natural Resources

8-716.

(c) A person is [note] NOT required to pay the tax
provided for in [subsection] [[SUBSECTIONS (a) AND]]
subsection (B) to obtain a certificate of title resulting
from;

(1)   A transfer between members of the
immediate family as determined by Department rules and
regulations;

(2)  A transfer between licensed dealers in
vessels for resale;

(3)   Sale or transfer of a vessel or boat not
required to be titled under this subtitle;

(4)  Purchase of a vessel by the State or any
political subdivision; or

(5)   Purchase of a vessel by an eleemosynary
organization which the Secretary has approved.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.
