With respect to the division of Art. 58A, see
general revisor's note to Title 12, Subtitle 2
of the Commercial Law Article.

SECTION 9. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That subtitle
"Secondary Mortgage Loan Law" of Article 66 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Replacement Volume, 1974
Supplement) title "Mortgages" be and it is hereby renamed
"Secondary Mortgage Loans — Licensing Provisions," and
that Sections 39, 40(b), and 71 of said article and
subtitle be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, as follows:

SECONDARY MORTGAGE LOANS - LICENSING PROVISIONS

C§ 39. Title.

This subtitle constitutes and may be cited as "The
Maryland Secondary Mortgage Loan Law."]

§ 39. SHORT TITLES.

(A)    THIS SUBTITLE MAY BE CITED AS THE MARYLAND
SECONDARY MORTGAGE LOAN LAW - LICENSING PROVISIONS.

(B)    THIS SUBTITLE AID THE MARYLAND SECONDARY
MORTGAGE LOAN LAW - CREDIT REGULATIONS MAY BE CITED
JOINTLY AS THE MARYLAND SECONDARY MORTGAGE LOAN LAW.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is
new language derived from Art. 66, §39. It is
designed to facilitate citations to this
subtitle alone, as distinguished from the
credit provisions which are placed in Title
12, Subtitle 4 of the Commercial Law Article.
For this purpose the term "Licensing
Provisions" is added.

Subsection (b) is new language designed to
permit a simple citation to both the credit
and the licensing provisions, jointly.
