Commission on Intergovernmental Cooperation. There shall
be [twelve] SIXTEEN members of this Commission, [six]
EIGHT to be members of the Senate of Maryland and [six]
EIGHT to be members of the House of Delegates of
Maryland, and these members shall include ex officio, the
President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of
Delegates and the majority and minority leaders of both
houses. The appointments shall be at the pleasure of the
Legislative Council. The Council also shall appoint a
chairman and a vice—chairman of the Commission to serve
at the pleasure of the Council. IN ADDITION, THE COUNCIL
MAY APPOINT TO THE COMMISSION ANY MEMBER OF THE GENERAL
ASSEMBLY WHO HOLDS A LEADERSHIP POSITION IN A NATIONAL OR
REGIONAL LEGISLATIVE ORGANIZATION; THESE MEMBERS SHALL
ALSO SERVE AT THE PLEASURE OF THE COUNCIL. The
appointments provided in this section for the respective
houses shall be made by the President of the Senate and
the Speaker of the House of Delegates, as ex officio
chairman and vice—chairman of the Legislative Council,
and the appointments may be made at any time.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

FOR the purpose of providing that employees of the
various boards of supervisors of elections and
election judges may vote as an absentee voter.
