Bill No. 12

AN ACT, concerning retail sale of alcoholic
beverages for the purpose of codifying the local law of
Talbot County concerning the retail sale of alcoholic
beverages by repealing the appropriate sections of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland pursuant to
Section 206 of Article 2B of said Code also pursuant to
Article 25A of the Annotated Code of Maryland and the
Charter for Talbot County, Maryland.

SECTION 1. "Be it enacted by the County Council of
Talbot County, Maryland", that the public local laws
concerning the retail sale of alcoholic beverages in
Talbot County shall read as follows:

BEER LICENSES

SECTION 2. Beer license, Class A, (off sale)

(a)    General Provisions — A Class A beer
license shall be issued by the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Talbot County and shall authorize the holder thereof
to keep for sale and sell beer at retail in any quantity
to any consumers at the place therein described and to
deliver the same in a sealed package or container which
package or container shall not be opened or the contents
consumed on the premises where sold. The annual fee for
such a license shall be forty dollars ($10.00) and shall
be payable to said clerk before any such license is
issued.

(b)    The hours during which the privileges
conferred by a Class A beer license may be exercised
shall be from 6 a.m. to 12 midnight on every day except
Sunday. On Sunday the hours shall be from 8 a.m. to 12
midnight.

SECTION 3. Beer license. Class B, (on sale), hotels
and restaurants

(a) General Provisions — A Class B Beer
license shall be issued by the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Talbot County and shall authorize the holder thereof
to keep for sale and sell beer at retail at any hotel or
restaurant at the place therein described for consumption
on the premises only. The annual fee for such a license
