COUNTY LOCAL LAWS

WHEREAS, All ordinances, rules, regulations and acts
contained in the 1967 Code of Ordinances and Resolutions
and the laws contained in the Code of Public Local Laws,
1963, as amended, and Acts of the County Council and all
Acts of the Maryland General Assembly which specifically
refer to Prince George's County and which provisions are
subject to County Council enactment and not included in
the 1972 Code and intended to be repealed unless
specifically saved from repeal herein; and

WHEREAS, Certain laws, being the

Maryland—Washington Metropolitan District Act and the
Maryland—Washington Regional District Act, Sub—title 59,
Park and Planning Commission; the Washington Suburban
Sanitary District Act, Sub—title 83; and the Washington
Suburban Transit District Act, Sub—title 83A; and also
the County Regional District Act, Sub—title 19, affect
the residents of Prince George's County, have been
compiled with their amendments and placed in Part 3,
Appendices of the 1972 Code; and

WHEREAS, Article 11A of the Constitution of the
State of Maryland, Article 25A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, 1957 Edition, as amended, and the Charter for
Prince George's County affect the residents of the
County, these provisions have been compiled with their
amendments and placed in Part One of the Code.

THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MARYLAND, That:

SECTION 1. The Prince George's County    Code, 1972

Edition, codified under the direction of the County

Codification Task Force, be and the same is hereby

legalized and shall be deemed and taken as evidence of
the following laws therein contained;

A.               All public local laws, council
legislation, ordinances,         resolutions, rules and
regulations of Prince George's County, general or
permanent in character, and having force and effect of
law on December 31, 1972.

B.          The Prince George's County Code, 1972
Edition, is hereby adopted and enacted as the official
"Prince George's County Code", and shall be treated and
considered as the new and original comprehensive
enactment which shall supersede all ordinances,
resolutions, acts, rules and regulations of a general and
permanent nature enacted by and for the County prior to
December 31, 1972.
