Department) or as a rescue squadsman in a Montgomery
County rescue squad if such service has not otherwise
been credited. Before receiving this credited service
the member shall pay the amount of contributions that
would have been deducted during this period of prior
service plus interest at the rate of four and one-half
percent per annum to June 30, 1970, and six and one—half
percent thereafter for each year from July 1, 1970, to
date of full payment.

A fire alarm dispatcher who was the incumbent of a
fire alarm dispatcher position brought into the County
service prior to August 15, 1965, shall receive credit
without additional charge, for the full period of time
served in the position or as a firefighter in the same
fire department, if the service was continuous.

Years of credited service of less than a full year
will be pro—rated; any days of credited service in excess
of fifteen days shall equal one month, and any service of
less than fifteen days will not be counted.

(b) Procedures for determining credited
future service.

(4)    For members who have worked on
both a part time career basis and a full time basis
during the member's service, part—time service credits
will be based on the number of hours of service rendered
in a fiscal year as follows:

Each one hundred seventy six hours shall equal
one month of credited service. Accumulated hours of
eighty—eight to one hundred seventy six shall equal one
month of credited service. An accumulation of less than
eighty eight hours shall not be credited and there shall
be no carry over of excess hours from one fiscal year to
the next. Any member working on a year—round basis of
less than thirty—five hours per week shall be considered
a part-time employee and subject to the above formula.

(5)    For members working exclusively on
a part—time career basis as defined in the Personnel
Regulations, one year's normal working time shall equal
one year of credited service.

(i) Credited service for prior military
service. Upon completion of five years of credited
service for each member enrolled prior to June 30, 1970,
or five years of continuous service for each member
enrolled on or after July 1, 1970, a member who does not
qualify for credited service under the provisions of
Section 33—41 (c) (1) and (2), may obtain credited
service for all or part of any period of military service
