COUNTY LOCAL LAWS
The Council hereby declares that an emergency exists
and that this legislation is necessary for the immediate
protection of public health and safety. Therefore, this
Act shall take effect on the date on which it becomes
law.

AN ACT to repeal and re—enact, with amendments,
Section 2-88, title "Established; composition;
appointment; terms of office," Subdivision II, title
"Council Fiscal Affairs Committee," Chapter 2, title
"Administration," Montgomery County Code 1972, as
amended, to increase the membership on the Council Fiscal
Affairs Committee from fourteen to twenty members and
provide that the two—year terras of the members shall
expire on June 30.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL FOR MONTGOMERY
COUNTY, MARYLAND, That
Section 1. Section 2—88, title "Established;
composition; appointment; terms of office," Subdivision
II, title "Council Fiscal Affairs Committee," Chapter 2,
title "Administration," Montgomery County Code 1972, as
amended, is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
2-88.
There is hereby established the Council Fiscal
Affairs Committee composed of twenty members appointed by
the County Council, each of whom shall serve for a period
of two years, expiring June 30; provided, that members
shall serve at the pleasure of the County Council; and
provided, that for the members first appointed, seven
members shall serve for a term of two years, and seven of
the members shall serve for a term of one year. All
subsequent appointments shall be for terms of two years.
Section 2. Effective date.
This Act shall take effect on the 76th day following
the date on which it becomes law.
