amount of money which would have been paid as an active
member during such period with four and one—half percent
interest from the date of employment to June 30, 1970,
and six and one—half percent interest thereafter for each
year from July 1, 1970 to the date of full payment.

SECTION IV. Sections 38(a), title "Normal
retirement date", 38(b), title "Transfers from one group
to another group within the retirement system", 38 (e),
title "Normal mandatory retirement date", 38(f), title
"Mandatory retirement date extension", 38(i), title
"Administrative retirement on or after normal retirement
date", and 38 (j), title "Administrative retirement on or
after elective early retirement date", are hereby amended
to read as follows:

(a) Normal retirement date. Normal retirement date
is the first day of the month elected by a member after
all of the following requirements have been met:

(1)    Group A and Group F: Any Group A or
Group F member with at least five years of credited
service who has reached age sixty or who has at least
thirty years of credited service and has reached age
fifty—five.

(2)    Group B: Any Group B member with at
least fifteen years of credited service who has reached
age fifty—five or who has at least thirty years of
credited service and has reached age fifty—one.

(3)   Group C: Any Group B, D or E member who
transfers to another position normally covered under
Group A as the result of a service connected disability
shall retain the normal retirement date of the group from
which transferred.

(4)    Group D: Any Group D member covered
under the provisions of the Police Relief and Retirement
Fund of Montgomery County who has served as a Montgomery
County police officer for at least twenty—five years,
irrespective of age, or who has at least twenty—five
years of service as a Montgomery County police officer
and has reached age fifty—five.

(5)    Group E: Any Group E member with at
least fifteen years of credited service who has reached
age fifty—five or who has at least twenty—five years of
credited service and has reached age forty—six.

There will be no refund of contributions to any
employee who transfers from one group to another group
