AN ACT to amend Article V, title "Parking Commercial
Vehicles and Repair of Vehicles on Streets," of Chapter
31, title "Motor Vehicles and Traffic," of the Montgomery
County Code 1972, by amending the title of Article V; by
amending Section 31—49, title "Definitions," to include
the definition of the phrase "unregistered motor
vehicle;" and by adding a new Section 31—52A, title
"Parking of unregistered motor vehicles prohibited," to
follow immediately after Section 31—52 thereof, to
prohibit the parking of any unregistered motor vehicle
upon the highways, roads, streets or other public
property in the County at any time.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL FOR MONTGOMERY
COUNTY, MARYLAND, That,

Sec. 1. The title of Article V of Chapter 31, title
"Motor Vehicles and Traffic," of the Montgomery County
Code 1972, is hereby amended to read as follows:

ARTICLE V

PARKING COMMERCIAL AND UNREGISTERED VEHICLES
AND REPAIR OF VEHICLES ON STREETS.

Sec. 2. Section 31—49, title "Definitions," of
Article V of Chapter 31, title "Motor Vehicles and
Traffic," of the Montgomery County Code 1972, is hereby
amended to include among the definitions the definition
of "unregistered motor vehicle," to follow immediately
after the definition of "park," and to read as follows:

31-49.

UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE. ANY MOTOR VEHICLE,
EXCEPT THOSE EXEMPTED PROM REGISTRATION BY STATE LAW,
WHICH IS WITHOUT REGISTRATION PLATES, WITH EXPIRED
REGISTRATION PLATES, OR WITH FICTITIOUS REGISTRATION
PLATES ATTACHED THERETO.

Sec. 3. A new Section 31—52A, title "Parking of
unregistered motor vehicles prohibited," is hereby added
to Article V of Chapter 31, title "Motor Vehicles and
Traffic," of the Montgomery County Code 1972, to follow
immediately after Section 31—52 thereof, and to read as
follows:

31-52A. PARKING OF UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLES
PROHIBITED.

IT SHALL BE UNLAWFUL TO PARK ANY UNREGISTERED MOTOR
