be consolidated and confined within a single frame,
subject to the review and recommendation of Board of
Appeals.
C. Street Banners
Street banners advertising a public entertainment or
event, if specifically approved by the County Executive
and if in locations designated by him, may be displayed
fourteen (14) days prior to and seven (7) days after the
public entertainment or event.
D. Window Signs
There shall be no limit to the number of such signs,
provided however, that the total area of all window signs
shall not exceed twenty (20) percent of window glass
area, which shall be calculated separately for each side
of the building. An additional twenty (20) percent of
window area may be used on a temporary basis. An
additional ten (10) percent of window area may be used on
a temporary basis to advertise non-profit activities.
E. Permanent Identification Signs
Signs of a permanent nature setting forth the name
of a church or a community, development, center, or other
like projects shall be permitted if setback in accordance
with the BUILDING SETBACK requirements of the zoning
restrictions relating to the classification of the
property on which the sign is placed. Illumination shall
be in accordance with restrictions set forth in
subsection 3.608. Such signs shall not exceed
twenty—four (24) square feet in area nor six (6) feet in
height.
F. Civic, Religious and Quasi—Public Signs
Name, directional and informational signs, and
emblems of service clubs, places of worship, civic
organizations and quasi—public uses shall be permitted on
private property if setback in accordance with BUILDING
SETBACK requirements of the zoning restriction relating
to the classification of the property on which the sign
is placed. Each sign shall be not more than fifteen (15)
square feet in area. The top of such sign shall not
exceed eight (8) feet above grade. Illumination shall be
in accordance with the restrictions set forth in Section
3.608, and in the event that there is a need for more
than one sign at one location, all such signs must be
consolidated and confined within a single frame, subject
to the review and recommendations of the Bureau of the
Bureau of Inspections, Licenses and Permits.
