Utility Inspector I, if required by work.
(405) Utility Inspector II (40) (Building, Plumbing,
Public Works)
Building:
Education equivalent to completion of twelfth school
grade. Four years of building trades experience in
structural aspects of building construction, two years of
which shall have been at the journeyman level.
Plumbing:
Education equivalent to completion of twelfth school
grade. Four years of plumbing experience, two years of
which shall have been at the journeymen level.
Public Works:
Education equivalent to completion of twelfth school
grade. Four years of experience in heavy construction
projects, two years of which shall be at trades
journeyman or complex equipment operation level. Or:
any equivalent combination of acceptable education and
experience which has provided the knowledges, skills and
abilities cited above.
Eligibility for a valid driver's license Class D
issued by the State of Maryland prior to appointment, and
possession of such licensure within time limits specified
by the County and during tenure of employment as Utility
Inspector I, if required by work.
(406) Utility Inspector III (40)
Education equivalent to completion of twelfth school
grade. Eight years of experience in area of
specialization, including four years inspecting
construction work for adherence to applicable codes,
ordinances and regulations, two years of which shall have
been at the full performance level. Or: any equivalent
combination of acceptable education and experience which
has provided the knowledges, skills and abilities cited
above.
Eligibility for a valid driver's license Class D,
issued by the State of Maryland prior to appointment, and
possession of such licensure within time limits specified
by the County and during tenure of employment as a
Utility Inspector III, if required by work.
