Public Works)

Building:

Education equivalent to completion of twelfth school
grade. Pour years of building trades experience in the
structural aspects of building construction, two years of
which shall have been at the journeyman level.

Plumbing:

Education equivalent to completion of twelfth school
grade, Four years of plumbing experience, two years of
which shall have been at the journeyman level.

Public Works:

Education equivalent to completion of twelfth school
grade. Four years of experience in heavy construction
projects, two years of which shall have been at the
trades journeyman or complex equipment operation level.
Or: any equivalent combination of acceptable education
and experience which has provided the knowledges, skills
and abilities cited above.

Eligibility for a valid driver's license Class D,
issued by the State of Maryland prior to appointment, and
possession of such licensure within time limits specified
by the County and during tenure of employment as a
Construction Inspector I, if required.

(402) Construction Inspector II (Building, Plumbing,
Public Works)

Building & Plumbing:

Education equivalent to completion of twelfth school
grade. Six years of experience in area of
specialization, including two years at journeyman level
followed by two years inspecting construction work in
area of specialization for adherence to applicable codes,
ordinances and regulations.

Public Works:

Education equivalent to completion of twelfth school
grade. Six years of experience in heavy construction
projects, including two years at journeyman or complex
equipment operation level followed by two years
inspecting heavy construction for adherence to applicable
codes, ordinances and regulations. Or: any equivalent
combination of acceptable education and experience which
has provided the knowledges, skills and abilities cited
above.
